Colour remover query

I’ve just used colour remover and I’m really pleased with the result , however the instructions say to not use a permanent colour for 4 weeks?! What will happen if I do? Does anybody know? I’m wondering if it’s because the hair is particularly porous and maybe the colour will be a lot brighter or... ? Anybody used this stuff?

Can you use a semi instead?
If you use a permanent colour it might go very dark again

Thank you, The instructions say you can use a semi, but it seems like a lots of messing about, and I have 2 permanent boxes ready so I wanted to use them. I’m going red if that makes a difference?

I haven't used it but IIRC the advice to wait is because it would oxidise and go dark if you applied a colour too soon.

I've used the VitC tablet + dandruff shampoo method a couple of times but not dyed after .

They do dry your hair out though , so some intensive mask treatment before go red , red is the hardest colour to stop fading .

Ok thanks, when you say go dark do you mean ‘dark’ as in dark brown/ black or do you mean ‘dark whatever colour’ so dark red ? So many questions !!
It was red to start with, I tried to dye it lilac but it went black and purple 🙄 the colour stripper has removed all the black and it’s back to a faded gingery red now, when it’s red I have to colour it about every 4/ 5 weeks.

I used a permanent after I’d dye stripped, as I didn’t read the instructions properly, and it did go a lot darker than the box showed.
