I need you guys to style my hair. I've attached pics of its usual every day state. It's in quite good condition, very thick & long. I'm suffering the dreaded post partum growth so I have quire short baby hair around allllll my hairline. What do you guys advise? I'm not the kind of person who spends an hour styling in the morning so nothing that would require that. Happy to dye/cut. Professionally obviously. Thanks!

The centre part and a bit of a wave has you looking much more modern and youthful (even though we can't see your specs). A bit of a trim (and I agree with the poster who said that taking a lot off would become "ordinary" so just 3 inches I'd say) plus long layers and it will be perfect. And aspirational! I had hair like that when I was younger. It's crispy and thin now...sigh...

Not specs, I meant face!

What about face framing layers? I think that this kind of thing would look lovely and the layers would stop the hair pulling down and give some movement. When your hair is damp spray salt spray through with your head upside down. Whip back up and you should have quite an easy to maintain style.

You do have lovely hair and a beautiful hair colour, but I would personally cut it! I'd go as short as collarbone, make it quite blunt so you could wear it both straight and with your natural wave. I'll go against the grain and say that 90% of women in their 20s wear their hair long and it looks quite plain, at least to me. If you hate it, it would be long again within a year. If you'd rather keep it long I think cutting it to above breast/armpit length would make it look more styled.

It looks so nice with a centre parting curled, please never ruin it with dye! You honestly don't need to do anything to it at all but I guess trims are always a good idea to keep hair healthy

It's already dyed! I've been every colour under the sun, and it was dyed grey until recently. This is just a garnier box dye. Naturally I'm a mousy brown. I'm going to stick with the centre parting for a few days and see if I get used to it as I'm still unsure! Back at work tomorrow so let's see what my colleagues have to say - all men though so probably won't notice Grin

You have lovely hair. Try Pinterest for styles and styling ideas, try searching 'long hair half up styles' and 'long hair scarf styles' for ideas. There are loads of easy braids and ways to wrap/style your hair to make it feel different. Also Tegan and etsy have loads of barrettes etc for long hair.

No way it looks so natural! 🤩

Enjoy having super long hair in your 20s. I am in late thirties now and finding I can’t grow it quite as long as I could in my 20s. It’s still long but goes horrible beyond bra strap length. So enjoy while you can.
