Sports wear

So after a year of too much eating and little exercise I have bought a new sports bra but no other sports clothes fit. I feel too large and self-conscious to wear leggings.

Any recommendations on what to get. Do not thing heavy jogger type material would be helpful. It is for outdoor exercise class ( circuits/Pilates style) and perhaps tennis.

Am a 16-18 bottom and a 14-16 top now, sadly. Large bust with most of my weight now round my middle since I had my third child.

Sweaty Betty Size XL

Bamboo clothing have some nice things.

AzureTwist · 02/04/2021 08:50

Thanks I will have a look at both.
Changing size with shops closed is not ideal!

Decathlon is the best VFM around by a Mike and the quality is excellent (doesn't go see through, has drawstrings and pockets) and has all sorts of weight of fabric.

The longer shorts/skorts might be a good choice, especially for tennis (Decathon don't have then in stock yet, but try the Head club 3/4 tights skort)

Also, look in cycling departments for tops - they are often cut longer, with extra bum coverage and grippy stuff at the hem to reduce the amount they ride up

Longer cut is definitely what I am looking for.

Not sure I am brave enough for exposing my legs yet, though.

ASOS have some plus size sports stuff which is quite nice.

3/4 length means only from mid calf downwards is actually exposed. The skort bit covers bum and top of thighs and then it's like running tights

Otherwise try Decathlon yoga pants - various styles (including looser fit), or the absolute classic Ronhill Trackster

Decathlon or M&S. Go for polyester blend not cotton, and leggings style better.
Dress for comfort not style - no rubbing seams etc.

Nobody will be looking a you or judging, they'll be too busy worrying about themselves.
