Is there a better foundation?

Mid 50's, olive skin, a few wrinkles and age spots, dark circles.
My go to has been YSL Touche Eclat but I'm wondering if there's an even better one? I like the glow it gives me but it does seem to wear off after a couple of hours.
Ideally one I can buy from John Lewis, I'll try to colour match.
TIA

I had YSL Éclat once.
My holy grail now of natural yet covering coverage with a bit of glow is N7 Hydraluminous.
I've tried, apart from the YSL, Armani Silk, Chanel vitalumiere, (and loads of other Chanels) Bobbi Brown serum foundation, Clinique Even Better Glow and none of them are a patch on Hydraluminous.

Thanks @Geamhradh I'll go to Boots and take a look. In the past No7 haven't had a good colour match for my yellowy skin but it's a few years since I looked.

@Geamhradh, sorry to jump in but I am torn between Clinque even better glow and No7 hydraluminous. I have the Clinique one but am wondering whether to go for the No7 instead. Which shade do you use? I am wondering whether to go a bit darker, though when I had a foundation match done with No7 my shade came out as cool ivory.

I was colour matched cool ivory and went darker - think it was Wheat?

I’m really happy with Estée Lauder futurist. Not cakey like double wear. Can buy in John Lewis.

Have tried all 3 and the EL Futurist is my fave. The other two "crack" round my eyes and make the lines look worse. I'm mid-fifties. Plus the EL has factor 45 SPF.

In number 7 I am Calico and it's perfect for me. In Clinique I vary between Fair and Ivory.
Tbf, I could probably go a shade darker for summer. That's when I mix a bit of Bobbi Brown in - I mistakenly got that one in a shade just a bit too dark. I'm definitely pink toned.

Another Hydraluminous convert here, I’ve tried to stray and always come back. It is truly the best foundation I’ve ever used.

Nars All Day Luminous. Does exactly that. It stays on all day and is glowing. You can use a tiny bit or use more for full coverage.

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 02/04/2021 22:43

All of those sound great, I'm desperate to find a decent foundation but I'm a stickler for only buying products not tested on animals.
Is Clinique cruelty free? I know that nars, Estée Lauder & no 7 definitely aren't!
