...would it work to store clothes in plastic storage boxes? (i.e. would that keep them sufficiently protected from dust, moths, etc?).

Thanks in advance!

That’s what I do. The only downside I’ve found is having to iron them when they come back out.

I just pack mine away in suitcases and they go into the loft.

Amazingly, they don't smell musty when they come down again, so plastic boxes should work the same.

Under my bed which has storage in bags , always cleaned and ironed so it's ready for the sunshine !

You can get moth sachets to put in the boxes that work and last for months. here

I put mine in suitcases on top of the wardrobe, I put organza bags of Unstoppables fabric conditioner granules in the cases so they smell nice when they come out.

In those big plasticised laundry bags with several mothballs.

Vacuum packed bags!

Yes plastic boxes are fine, I use a mixture of bags, boxes and IKEA Skubb fabric box things. Stick a tumble drier sheet in to stop the musty smell

stealingbeauty · 31/03/2021 21:33

I use plastic boxes with lids. Everything has to be bone-dry when you pack it away as one tiny damp area on something will cause everything to smell musty! I’ve learnt from experience!

Vacuum packed bags!
@Littleguggi I've recently discovered vacuum bags and I'm a tad obsessed Blush
