What's ok to wear with leggings (if you are obese)?

I know I can wear what I want. I know leggings aren't particularly flattering on me - but they are so comfy for walking around in this sort of weather!

I'm talking nice quality, doesn't go thin when stretched leggings. I usually wear with a long tunic top that covers my bum - but finding it hard to find many of those. Size 18. What else could I wear with it without looking ridiculous?

Footless tights. Comfort shorts so you don't have to wear a dress and leggings. I wear a shorter denim skirt with footkess tights or leggings, or a tube skirt.

They also look a it less 'heavy' when used for layering if you see what I mean - they go better with a summer frock than thick leggings.

Thank you, I will have to have a look at footless tights to make a
change from leggings.

I really like stuff like this. I appreciate you have to like the Scandinavian/Italian smart casual look for this. Fabulous organic fabrics, mainly nettle and hemp.

I love leggings and have spent most of lockdown in them.

Winter: long line -t-shirt & cardigan / jumper dress - Oliver Bonas has some nice ones on sale just now or ASOS usually have a lot / t-shirt or jersey dress / skirt and jumper . Alternatively I highly recommend snag tights, including the footless ones, with the dresses/ skirts.

Summer - can wear a longer length summer shirt type dress ok with leggings. However it's often too hot so I'd recommend: maxi dresses - M&S do these anti-chaffing type culottes which are cool and comfortable to wear underneath. Pull on cotton or jersey cropped trousers or joggers, pull on wide leg linen trousers, pull on jersey material type trousers that are looser than leggings but still as comfy. Can be dressed down with long line t-shirts or dressed up with blouses / shirts.

I'd recommend M&S for the above trouser options. They have a huge range of trouser style (some I find hideous and some great), so should be something for everyone.
