Harem Trousers

Could anyone give me an idea where to get some please. My DH always says I buy everything "floral" and "old ladyish"
I would like some nice soft comfy trousers for the summer.
I'm sick of wearing jeans (still on maternity leave so haven't dressed nice for over a year).

How about some floaty culottes? www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/women/bottoms/trousers-leggings-sweatpants

AnyFucker · 31/03/2021 10:15

Hush. Love them.

Hmmm. Link won't work! I'm suggesting these -

@Throughabushbackwards

What size would you order if a 10-12 bottoms? Would Medium do do you think?

Throughabushbackwards · 04/04/2021 16:56

Sorry it's been a few days! I'm a 10/12 and wear M in most things from Uniqlo.

stylistmum · 04/04/2021 17:24

Perhaps some linen trousers?

Orangesandlemons82 · 04/04/2021 17:27

I'm wearing hush harem trousers today. The fabric is pretty thin and they are really comfortable. I think they are available in a few colours

Marmaladegin · 04/04/2021 19:18

M&s cosy lounge cuff joggers are rather like harem pants. Super comfy and the fabric is quite light although maybe too cosy for mid-summer. Perfect for now and for post-natal wear, and I think quite flattering. I also think your husband could do with asking you how he could support you at this time rather than making you feel frumpy, and in your shoes I'd tell him so.

TooMinty · 04/04/2021 19:21

If you get the Hush ones, be warned they come up big so order a size down. Although drawstring at the waist helps compensate.

chloechloe · 04/04/2021 19:59

For Hush I would even go two sizes down! I’m a 10 with chunky hips but wear XS. I once bought them in S and they were way too big!

Yeah that might be wise, there aren't two sizes down for me though and I'm a short arse too which doesn't help!

How about these www.marksandspencer.com/tencel-paperbag-wide-leg-cropped-trousers/p/clp60493367?color=NAVY I have an emerald green pair from a few years ago, they're really flattering on my sticky out tummy shape

Orangesandlemons82 · 04/04/2021 20:35

The ones I bought recently aren't in small, medium, large etc. They are now in 8, 10, 12,14. I am a 14 and bought that size they are quite big but the drawstring waist helps. I seem to shrink everything I put in the washing machine so in a couple of weeks they will be the perfect fit!

Purplecatshopaholic · 04/04/2021 20:46

I love my velvet joggers from Anthropologie. If you can cope with jokes about 40 thieves constantly that is.. (maybe just my bf)..

bookish83 · 04/04/2021 20:54

M&S yoga trousers (long and cropped)
Cheapie hareems off ebay
Asos or supermarkets usually have 'dropped crotch', 'tapered', or 'peg' trousers
