I don’t care what it costs, I’m after the holy grail of fake tan.

I’m fairly pale, fake tans with red undertones seem to work best on me (I think!).

Can anyone recommend any before I waste money on rubbish?

Tropic!

I'm pale as it comes and it's the only one I've found goes on fantastically

Skinny Tan, I've tried loads and this is the best for me. I'm very, very pale.

PourMeAMerlot · 30/03/2021 20:10

I’m a not heard of that one... off to google...

Skinny Tan Coconut Water Tanning Mist. I'm originally very dark haired with pale skin that does tan eventually and I find this really easy, non-stinky and it isn't tinted meaning no stains on your sheets or towels.

Sorry, that comment was in regards to tropic!

I’ve heard a lot about skinny tan but they seem to have so many products... which one do I try?

Oooh, but is it easy to apply if it isn’t tinted? How do you make sure you don’t miss big patches?

Skinny Tan have frequent offers. I got two for one on the Coconut Water Mist plus a free bottle of a daily glow moisturiser - can't remember the name.

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 30/03/2021 20:14

@PourMeAMerlot - it is very easy to apply if you follow the instructions. I've never had a streaky result.

itbemay1 · 30/03/2021 20:16

I love tanya whitebits she has an Instagram page and prob a website it's such a great tan never streaks

Starlitexpress · 30/03/2021 20:19

Vita liberata, goes on well with a mitt and gives my death white skin a nice healthy glow, been my go to tanner for a few years now.

LyndaMcLynda · 30/03/2021 20:20

I've just bought Coco and Eve to try...really impressed so far, smells amazing but does dry quite fast so you need to spread it quickly!

BJHair · 31/03/2021 12:21

For my face I prefer to use tanning drops
Clarion golden drops and isle of paradise are my favourites

Franksalot · 31/03/2021 13:05

Does the skinny tan have that biscuit smell? And do you need to use a mitt after spraying it on?

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 31/03/2021 13:07

Isle of paradise drops mixed with Moisturiser .. game changer !

Spied · 31/03/2021 13:09

I am very pale and I love Isle of Paradise drops - the pink ones.

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 31/03/2021 13:11

They advise using a mitt to remove excess from elbows, knees and ankles - I got sent one free. It doesn't smell biscuity. It smells of coconut, well the coconut one does.
LadyCatStark · 31/03/2021 13:11

Another vote for Skinny Tan, but the coconut serum instead of the water as it’s thicker and easier to apply.

HermioneMakepeace · 31/03/2021 13:12

Samantha Sona. It’s an Australian brand.

PourMeAMerlot · 31/03/2021 21:17

Thanks everyone!

Anyone used st tropez?

OP posts:
HermioneMakepeace · 31/03/2021 21:20

@PourMeAMerlot I found with St Tropez that it didn’t take on some parts of my body. Also I saint like the green tinge.

dontputitinyourmouth · 31/03/2021 22:27

I’m really pale and like the skinny tan gradual daily tan, I can put it on at night after showering then it’s a gorgeous colour in the morning, I do have a quick shower but the smell isn’t that offensive that I feel the need to straight away IYSWIM, can build it up over a couple of days if I want a bit more colour. It’s only about £8 in Superdrug too so not the end of the world if you hate it.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 01/04/2021 12:20

Get these .. honestly I've tried every single one on my pale skin. I've tanned today and everyone says I look well . Not orange at all , just warmed up!

Please, please give me your fake tan recommendations
huuuuunnnndderrricks · 01/04/2021 12:21

Mix with any
Moisturiser and use hand cream on knees and feet before hand and mix in with the excess from legs .

PourMeAMerlot · 01/04/2021 12:59

Right... I think I’ve made a mistake 🤦‍♀️ Just bought some Bondi sands on a whim in Tesco.
Came home and read a few reviews (usually do this before I buy a product, but like I say, it was on a whim!)
The reviews are very mixed... either really good or terrible 😞
It’s the ultra dark foam. Has anyone used this?

Also bought some st tropez face mist which I’m excited to try.

Asdas own tan in the pump bottle £3.50 is actually brilliant! And it's also very moisturising I use it on my face and body and have stuck with it for the last 10 years
I know it's a cheap one and people would probably avoid it but at that price you have nothing to lose and you might actually like it
