Nice shoes for very hot/humid environment

Any recommendations for nice flat shoes that work well in a very hot country (30-40° and near 100% humidity for an extended period of time)? I'm not a fan of flip flops but open toe or heel shoes are generally fine!

My poor feet barely survived the last hot season so any recommendations would be extremely gratefully received. Not too worried about price.

I'm a huge fan of the Clarks gladiator sandals they do each year. They have a comfortable, slightly padded bottom- so no shredded feet - and they do a range including some which look pretty nice.
