Does anything really help rubbish eyelashes?

So I have tiny, short poker straight eyelashes. It's strange because I have really thick wavy hair which I'm happy with but my eye lashes are pants.

Do things like lash serum, castor oil etc really help or just marketing voodoo?

I have tiny, short eyelashes that are a dark blonde or light brown in colour and I hate wearing mascara.

No idea about lash serum, and castor oil is gloopy and sticky. I'd try almond oil, coconut oil or jojoba, I think.

Apileofballyhoo · 28/03/2021 14:37

Mine grew when I was using peptide face serums and creams, so I suspect lash serums and so on do work for some people. The peach fuzz on my face also became more noticeable though.

QueenPaw · 28/03/2021 15:21

Rapid lash worked amazingly on mine

Rapid Lash, Revitalash, Lilash. All used these with noticeable results. Depends on your budget which one you pick

Purplecatshopaholic · 28/03/2021 15:28

I have used Rapid Lash, and Revitalash - both awesome on my naturally short, crappy lashes!

LemonSwan · 28/03/2021 15:29

Not wearing mascara. Theres a reason mens lashes are like a camels

doadeer · 28/03/2021 15:30

I actually don't wear make up very often, once every two weeks or so.

I'll try the suggestions!

@QueenPaw would love even your before picture 🤣

Revitalash really works on mine. I was expecting a the claims to be BS but it actually delivers - they're at least 50% longer

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 28/03/2021 15:48

There’s a Vichy Eye Serum which is called Eyes and Lashes.

I notice that this has helped my sparse lashes. Always on offer at Boots or online.

UK lash is similar to revitalise or rapid lash but it is only about £30. QVC sell it. It really made my lashes grow.

I rarely wear mascara and my eyelashes aren't like camels'.
CatSickYellowSocks · 28/03/2021 18:09

My friend has rubbish tiny eyelashes and she now has the inserts(?) done at a salon. Like sort of semi permanent false eyelashes, but individual rather than a whole strip so she can choose the style ie. slightly longer ones on the outside. They are pretty expensive and you have to have them redone regularly but she LOVES them. Said it’s the only thing that’s finally made her feel good about her lashes!

ladymuck111 · 28/03/2021 18:29

This thread has just cost me £40. 🤣

Martinisarebetterdirty · 28/03/2021 18:36

Revitalash is amazing - genuinely works. Didn’t get any result from their brow serum but the lash one is brilliant.

Spodge · 28/03/2021 18:37

UK Lash made my lashes grow a lot longer. They did not become thicker or more abundant.

Janaih · 28/03/2021 18:40

The serums work really well but I had to stop as they were making my eyelids sore.

Mamette · 28/03/2021 18:43

Same thing happened for me with Rapid lash.
AndWhatNext · 28/03/2021 18:49

I so have short and very straight lashes.
In the summer I had a lash lift and tint from the salon and amazed at the result. I wasn't sure it was going to work but it was brilliant.
It's my new favourite treatment and the first thing I've booked in April.

doadeer · 28/03/2021 18:56

Yes I had eye lash extensions done by an amazing technician for years but it's expensive and time consuming and I don't want that except for a special holiday now. I just don't have the time

OK, I'll choose a serum! Thanks everyone

Revitalash works for me. I went from sparse stumpy eyelashes to eyelashes that hit my glasses when I blink. You do have to use it every day though.

doadeer · 28/03/2021 19:10

There's a big price difference between revitalash and UKlash

Has anyone used both?

OP posts:
Horsemad · 28/03/2021 22:04

Someone I know has glaucoma and has to use eye drops daily. Anyway, the side 'effect' is that her lashes are now really luxuriant!
The eye consultant mentioned it would probably happen before she started using the drops.

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 28/03/2021 22:32

Bimaprost eyedrops. Ordered from Pharmacy Jeff.

EvaporatedHour · 28/03/2021 22:45

I've been using Rapidlash for just over a week and have noticed a difference already
