Left eye irritated but can't see what it is

Suspect an eyelash is scratching as I had one before but as I'm short sighted I can't see clearly in the mirror where the thing is. Any tips for how-to find it (apart from plucking out all my lashes of course) please?

Flush eye out with saline solution of you have it.
Could be a corneal ulcer. In which case you might need antibiotic eye drops.

Close the irritated eye and keep it closed while you blow your nose.

Give it a saline bath.

You can use any eye drops or just water to flush it out. As irritating as it is, they always come out eventually. As long as your vision is normal, just let it run its course

This type of glasses are great for looking at your eyes up close. Mine are from Amazon

MoltonSilver I might give those a go. Will need to find my prescription from the depths of the filing cabinet!

I'll try flushing my eye & saline drops too. Thanks everyone.

I'm forever getting stuff in my eyes OP, I have Tweezerman magnifying mirrors all over the house for just this purpose. They're a bit pricey but really good. I've bought cheaper ones but the reflection is often distorted or dull. Hope your eye feels better.
