Heels for size 16/18

Hi everyone, I'm a size 16/18 and would like to wear heels for work. However I just feel 'heavy' in them, my feet ache, rips the skin off the back of my ankles etc.

I'm looking for smart, low heel, comfortable shoes that would go well with a dress/skirt suit + jacket combo. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm 5'9 and a size 16....heading rapidly to an 18 after lockdown!
Block heels and chunky soles are the best I've found. Look for block heeled loafers on ASOS, they have loads of choice!
I avoid stiletto heels with dainty soles as they cripple me these days Sad

Sorry, I forgot to mention that depending on your age/style M&S can be a little bit matronly in my opinion (no offence to anyone that loves M&S, I'm just not ready to go there yet!)
I think the worst thing we can do to ourselves as a plus size is to style ourselves a decade older than we are in the hope we go unnoticed.....that is what M&S screams to me!
Anyway, just my thoughts. Hope you find something you like!

I like gabor shoes though, as with M&S, they may be a bit matronly (good description). I was eyeing these up.

Clark's, mine are so comfortable, quite high too. Usually heels hurt but not these ones

I did try to find the less matronly m&s styles (promise!) You do have to be careful with m&s but some of the autograph shoes and others are lovely and I have probably had more compliments on m&s purchased shoes than any others.

Promise I don’t work for m&s, I just like a lot of their shoes. BTW I’m 42 and try to dress reasonably fashionably.

I feel like I have unintentionally offended everyone 🤦‍♀️ it's just that m&s always seems to be the go to on here and I think it's okay but there is better stuff out there! Apologies if I did offend anyone....

Not at all - some of m&s is bloody awful :) and I do shop elsewhere too (honest)
