Teva sandals

Fugly or okay? I have read the reviews and people are raving about the comfort but not sure they are me...But I have a baby now and thinking for long walks in the summer they might be good for the comfort?

I have a pair, but maybe I just bought the wrong ones, but they are quite heavy, the soles are quite rubust and they rub my toes so I get blisters, the strap round the back also rubs.

They are well made but the soles to me are just not comfortable, however having said that you can get some very lightweight ones in some great colours ie the Universal.

Mine are something like this

You can get some good sale bargains as well

They aren't to my taste tbh, but looks aren't always my primary concern with summery shoes. I have some really unstylish Fitflop flip flops, which I keep because they are so comfortable in hot weather.

Inneedofanewwardrobe · 25/03/2021 12:04

Yeh I'd normally go for something more pretty but times have changed!

I have these Teva sandals, I love them, but suspect they aren't what you are looking for!

I prefer Keen sandals, think they’re comfier.

billybagpuss · 25/03/2021 15:13

I live in teva in the summer, I have a pair of the terra 5 water ones and a pair of suede style sandles Which are incredibly comfy. They last for years.

Blueuggboots · 25/03/2021 15:16

I've got a pair of pink keens and I love them! Yes, a bit fugly but so flipping comfortable! I'm going to buy a blue pair this year.

JohnandMary · 25/03/2021 15:29

I had a pair of Teva Tirra sandals that fell apart 2 days ago. I bought them in March 2015. I figured that was pretty good going so bought a replacement pair yesterday. I wouldn’t wear them for a night out but for country walks/holidays/beaches they are fab.

AntiHop · 25/03/2021 16:30

I love my teva sandals. Very comfy. I have ones that are completely black and leather. I'd also had similar merrell ones.

Laquila · 25/03/2021 17:19

I bloody love my Tevas. I have a tan leather pair of slides that I got at a bargainous £14 in the sale a few summers back, and some black Universal sandals. The latter are great for paddling in the sea and rivers. They're light and robust BUT the Universal style isn't supportive - you'd struggle to do a proper summer hike in them. I love Merrell sandals for that.

hennybeans · 25/03/2021 17:24

I love mine, they are light turquoise and so comfortable. They are my traveling shoes because I can walk miles in them but they look ok with a summer dress, ok on the beach and in rain.

NotMeNoNo · 25/03/2021 17:54

Given we are all meant to be clomping around in trainers or hiking boots with every outfit, I don't think anyone can complain about outdoor sandals.
I would recommend the Tirra style as they have several toe straps rather than that one thick one that can rub, depends on the shape of your foot in the end of course.

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2021 18:30

I've got a couple of pairs of Tirra sandals which are a few years old. They are quite comfortable but I find the soles a bit heavy and inflexible.

I agree with a previous poster that I prefer Keen sandals. There are loads of different styles - depends what you want them for. I've got Venice, Rose and Elle.

They are fugly as hell but I love my tirra sandals, bought a second pair for this year.

I am 46, feeling about 90 with buggered knees so comfort trumps all else.

FindingMeno · 25/03/2021 18:59

I'm investing in some this Summer.
A bit pricey for me, but I've admired them for a few years.
I think they look kind of hippy/ sporty.

Stichintime · 25/03/2021 19:01

I thought Tevas were fugly... until I saw Keens
