Teuta Matoshi style Prom dress

So it looks like DDs school May be having a Prom.
DD has struggled on and off with her MH for a while but has found the return to school/GCSEs/no GCSEs very challenging and we are working with school to get her through the next few months . She was unsure about Prom but her lovely BF has persuaded her to go so now we need to find a dress - would anyone like to help?
She loves Teuta Matoshi and wants something “a bit fairy like” . She is a petite size 6/8 and 5ft 4 hourglass with blonde hair and blue eyes and is quite pale. She is happy to show a bit of skin but not too much.
We haven’t set a budget as it’s quite a big deal for her and I want her to have a dress she loves but as she will probably never wear it again I don’t want to spend more than £300
Any suggestions would be great. We are in West Yorkshire too if anyone can suggest a stockist we could actually visit, although I am happy to buy online (as long as not a dodgy Chinese site)
Thank you

Needle and Thread seems to be the obvious suggestion. Something like this?

This one would look lovely with her blue eyes.

True Decadence at Wolf & Badger do very reasonably priced prom type dresses with lots of tulle.

Thank you Venus . I love the 2nd one bit might be a bit too much boob for her.
I will show her and suggest she looks at Needle and Thread

I bought DD's from TKMaxx, it was black beaded and was under £20

Hoppinggreen · 25/03/2021 07:58

Thank you both
She doesn’t really wear black and I think the JL one is a bit old for her.
Appreciate the help though

This is the kind of thing she’s after, sort of 50s style

Have a look on OUTNET and in the sale sections of Needle & Thread stockists and you may get one cheaper.

Zancah · 25/03/2021 08:38

If you can afford the outlay for the dress this year, is selling it in time for next year's prom an option?
It seems like a lot do this, eBay seems to have a lot of dresses back on there by autumn/winter ready for them to be snapped up by this time the next year.

Hoppinggreen · 25/03/2021 08:49

I don’t think I would have the heart to sell it if I did splash out on a genuine one. Plus DD doesn’t want me to spend that much, she would be worried about damaging it.

Trumpton not sure about that one as she wants more of a shorter sticky out skirt but I have been on the website and there are quite a few others that might fit the bill so thanks for that

JJs House dresses come from China im pretty sure and very hit or miss in quality so just be careful with them.

Hoppinggreen · 25/03/2021 09:42

Oh dear, that’s what I was afraid of.
I would rather pay a lot more and know what I was getting

Check some of the designer rental sites/apps, By Rotation has some dresses by her sister Lirika Matoshi available to rent. Usually there's other costs like fees or a subscription but may be worth a look.

floofycroissant · 25/03/2021 12:53

This is very sweet ASOS Frock and Frill have a load more dresses on their own site too

floofycroissant · 25/03/2021 13:01

Or if it's the glitter she's keen on then Coast have a few options

rbe78 · 25/03/2021 14:34

Oh, the True Decadence designer that a PP mentioned has some lovely ones:
Waterfall hem blue
Full length peach tulle
Embroidered flowers
Layered tulle

VenusClapTrap · 25/03/2021 14:52

Less boob than the other blue one I linked:

Hoppinggreen · 25/03/2021 14:55

Thank you everyone.
I will show her these and see what she thinks

This one has the corsetty look of the one you linked, op. It’s slightly over budget but there is 10% off first purchases which brings it back to your max.
