I keep seeing the adverts for her makeup range and really like the look of it. Bit pricey. Has anyone ever bought anything?

I have quite a bit of her stuff. I love the whole lip to cheek range. I suit pinks/purples/berry colours and they don’t have as many of those as they number of shades are still quite limited compared to other brands.
She does fantastic videos on Instagram and Facebook where she shows how to combine the products to change the lock. I often end of using two lip to cheek pots at the same time.
I also love the concealer but I don’t think it’s heavy enough for my massive dark circles 🙄

There are so many things I'd like to to buy but I'm a bit concerned about not being able to test them first.
I love the simplicity of it and the way you use your fingers but knowing me I'd still make heavy weather of it.

I love watching her on Instagram. She makes it look so easy. It sounds heavily scented though and that would make my face develop problems.

I was bought a couple of bits for Mother's Day and I love it!
The lip and cheek and miracle blur.

Joe50 · 23/03/2021 23:29

I love the miracle blur. It's the best thing for covering wrinkles and fine lines on forehead and around the eyes. The pot is small though and I get through one a month. It's cheaper than Botox. It's basically putty for the skin

This is exactly what I want!
hawleybits · 02/04/2021 00:09

I've got a dupe of miracle blur; Elf do something similar for about £8 but it's probably not quite as effective. I like it though.
I might treat myself to the lip and cheek and I like the look of Wisdom eyeshadow. I'm all for putting it on with my fingers and having it done in a flash.

Its very drying, especially the lip products.
I didn't like my 'stack' and gave it away. Shame as I really like Trinny's Istagram account and I was very excited to try it.
I had it about two years ago so maybe the formula has changed. Its also very expensive for makeup you can't buy samples of or return.

I wear BFF Destress every day. I love it. It’s more like a heavily tinted moisturiser than a foundation. I’m not keen on the under eye concealer. I only have one eye colour, in magician but it seems to work with everything.

BFF is the best. Shops will open in a couple of weeks and Trinny London was one of the few counters who were letting you try products when they were open before Christmas.

I am obsessed with her Instagram. I could watch her for hours, she is so entertaining!

ZaraW · 02/04/2021 06:09

I hated the lip to cheek, it was so drying and the colour was really unflattering. The colour matching recommendation was way off. The eyeshadow was nice but nothing special.

I find her so self absorbed. Stopped following when she went to India and all she could talk about was herself when riding elephants who were very neglected. Plenty of people called her out on it and the next day she visited a sanctuary. Nice bit of PR to prove she "cares".

TableNiner · 02/04/2021 10:37

I had a lip to cheek and also found it drying despite having very oily skin, and an eyeshadow that didn’t last more than half an hour. I have a Mac cream eyeshadow that lasts longer. I feel I am missing something as she always looks great and there are loads of ladies on the Trinny tribe groups on Facebook who do too. It’s too expensive to risk another go.

The BFF seems the best product but I already have some good tinted moisturiser options which I know won’t break me out and are cheaper than £35. I think it’s overpriced for what it all is, and there are rarely any discounts.

I like watching Trinny on Insta but I do feel she could do more to not stoke the fire of rampant consumerism. I like her Closet Confessions as she reuses the same clothes quite a bit and gives a bit of inspiration for shopping your own wardrobe. And I guess she’s no worse than other influencers.

My match to me was also off.
The above sums it up really, it was nothing special.

I’m in my mid forties and I am her target market. I get the feeling it’s aimed at older women, women who aren’t bothered about trying lots of brands, women who may not be very interested in make up in general and just want somebody to choose it all and hand it to them, as they don’t have the interest themselves in trying out new products or comparing them.

It would be ideal for my MIL (80) but she (and many of her generation) would never spend that amount of money on makeup so that many of that market is ruled out too.

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/04/2021 12:01

I like some of her products a lot, and rebuy them. The BFF cream is great, just so easy to use and has SPF in it. Whack that on with your fingers, a wee bit of blusher (I don’t use a Trinny one), anD maybe some highlighter and good to go. Also like the miracle blur, and the de-stress serum. I have a couple of eye creams that are nice too. I don’t like her lip products as I find them drying.
