Am I weird to buy a blazer jacket in two sizes?!

I got this blazer from Zara and I love it, bought the same colour and style of it with the intention of sending one back but I can't decide which size to keep.

The smaller size I'm thinking for work and the bigger size for leisure as it's more boyfriend style in the bigger size but has anyone ever done this - kept same colour same style of something in two different sizes or do I just need to make a decision and send one back?!

Don’t ask me, lm a bad influence! If you love it and wear it loads then l doubt you will regret it

DramaAlpaca · 22/03/2021 23:17

If you can easily afford them and will wear both as different looks, then keep them both.

G'wan, you know you want to Grin

livinlavida2021 · 22/03/2021 23:25

🤣 thanks both!! I honestly thought it would make me crazy to keep both as I it's the exact same jacket BUT my rationale is that because it is plain black I WILL wear it lots to work and my last blazer got so tatty due to this so I think it justify keeping both.

Also, I bought a all saints one for £129 which I ended up swapping for the which are £50 each so I've still saved £29 really!

I just did this with a hoodie recently.

One that fits snugly to wear over skimpy fitness stuff.

One a size larger that I can throw on over anything without getting grippy biceps. Smile

Girlintheframe · 23/03/2021 06:11

Only thing that would put me off is that I would feel I was wearing work clothes in leisure time.
If that's not an issue for you keep them and enjoy

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 23/03/2021 06:15

Can you link to the blazer please

Houseworkavoider · 23/03/2021 07:00

I want to see the blazer too!

livinlavida2021 · 23/03/2021 08:46

Here it is!!

It's loose fitting that's the name of it - loose fitting blazer but I think the bigger size is more for casual days with trainers

Not silly at all!

livinlavida2021 · 23/03/2021 08:47

@Girlintheframe yes I dont like this either ideally but also I do end up wearing work to casual and vice herds just because I spend so much time at work it's hard not to!!

@PrincessNutNuts it's the shoulders on the smaller one they're a bit snug!! And also it's nice to have the bigger one to wear jumpers underneath of have no chance doing that with the smaller size lol

It's called loose fitting blazer TRF for £49.99 Zara if anyone else is interested!

I have two sizes of a dress I like - for slim me and chunky me lol

Houseworkavoider · 23/03/2021 09:22

Nice!
I can see how it will look good both ways.

Yeah. Same for me. If we hadn't kept both sizes we would have needed to buy another one anyway wouldn't we? Wink

WisnaeMe · 23/03/2021 15:26

keep both, I do this with clothes 🌺

AvantGardening · 23/03/2021 20:43

If the small one is snug on the shoulder I would return it and just keep the larger one that works with that oversized look.

Find another, close fitting, designed that way, option

ElderMillennial · 24/03/2021 08:12

I think it is weird to buy two different sizes, yes, because I can't help but think you will end up preferring one and not wearing the other

If you think you will wear both then keep them. I've bought two of the same thing before just not two different sizes

Ninkanink · 24/03/2021 08:28

It makes perfect sense with a blazer. One can be worn oversized, which is how a lot of women wear blazers these days.

saturning · 24/03/2021 09:59

i do this with clothes quite often. latest buy is a 14 short sleeve jumper to wear with skinny jeans and a 12 in exact same colour to wear with baggier leg jeans.

Darklane · 24/03/2021 17:06

I do it even with same sized stuff Blush

MammaMiaWallace · 24/03/2021 17:59

I do this as well - if both look good then they’ll both be worn for slightly different looks, but overall both also last much longer! I often get the same item in different colours as well.

chloechloe · 24/03/2021 18:37

I’ve never done this but am guilty of buying the same thing in different colours! I think it makes sense though - I find that I’m happy to wear more fitted (uncomfortable) clothes for work but at home I want more comfy relaxed stuff!

livinlavida2021 · 24/03/2021 21:19

@Darklane 😂 don't be embarrassed!! You have all made me feel so much better about this - if I'd have asked my husband he would have made me feel guilty!!

I have also bought a Reiss one in two sizes and am facing the same dilemma but they were much more pricey so I will most certainly be sending one back!!
