Help me colour my hair

My hair is a disaster - see picture of my roots. I start a new job at the end of April and have no idea whether I’ll be able to see my hairdresser by then.

Any tips for home colouring? Which brand? Colour?

Help me please!

I think a nice medium brunette shade would look good on you and be quite easy to do yourself. Blonde can be a bit trickier to get right, and red can be difficult to maintain (it tends to quickly fade into an orangey colour and needs more regular touch ups), brunette is usually easier in my experience.

For brand my preference is Garnier.

Thanks for the reply. I want to avoid anything red or orange at all costs. Really just want to cover the grey roots and add a bit of all over colour until I can get to the hairdressers.

How about trying a semi permanent colour?

I have just used DH Touch of Grey Just foe men. It is bloody brilliant! 5 minutes jib done and a lovely subtle colour.

I did my own hair dye for the first time last year and it was easier and more successful than I'd feared. I used Natural Instincts in colour 6a and it's a nice medium brown colour. It washes out in something like 4-6 weeks so if you're not happy with it you're not stuck with it.

Might be a good option for you.

I already have a hair appointment! Your hairdresser might not be open now, but they should be taking bookings for when they'll be open.
