post-hysterectomy trousers?

I waved my uterus off a week ago. Since then I have obviously been tender around the surgical wounds, but also am pretty swollen. I have only worn joggers since discharge from hospital, and those have definitely seen better days. I'd like some new comfy trousers, possibly smartish ones as I suspect I won't be ready for my jeans by the time I return to work.

I'd like a soft fabric, high waisted to sit above incisions. Size 16 pre-op so realistically may need an 18 now to allow for swelling comfortably. Long enough for 5'9". Ideally navy, khaki or grey rather than black is possible, but black will do. Anyone seen anything?

You say incisions - was it laparoscopic?

yes - 4 small incisions here and there

I was only asking as mine was laparoscopic and you might be surprised how quickly you will be able to get back to wearing your usual clothes. I know everything feels awful now but it will all feel better remarkably fast.

Thank you. Even with a swift recovery I could still do with some trousers as my joggers are very old and sad indeed!

Just want to confirm that I definitely need new trousers after my hysterectomy. It never occurred to me that I would. Hope you feel better soon.

How about some maternity jeans?With the soft band so you don't irritate your wounds.
