Grown-up version of White Musk

I confess, I rather like Body Shop White Musk, but I feel like I'm too old for it. Plus I don't really want to buy from Body Shop.

Any suggestions of something similar, but perhaps a bit more grown up?

I'm having a real nostalgia moment with BS White Musk, it smells divine to me.
I got Molton Brown Milk Musk for Christmas and that smells utterly beautiful. It's a soft powdery gentle musk scent, as opposed to a bam! you smell it kind of perfume.

Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc Is supposed to be lovely and can be layered with his other fragrances. It’s on my wish list

I was going to suggest NR Pure Musc.

I’m eeking out my bottle of Bodyshop White Musk L’Eau, which was a favourite, but won’t be repurchasing as also on a BS boycott.

I don’t know if you’ve ever ventured in to the wonderful world of attars/Arabian oils? White musk is done very well in this category. Look for ‘body musk’ or ‘Misk Al Jism’. Loads of brands do a version (google for suppliers or look on eBay). It’s a clean, white musk scent that’s similar to the BS version.

Jovan, Tesori d’Oriente and Alyssa Ashley are all brands that do decent, bargain white musk fragrances if you prefer a spray.

Philosophy Pure Grace has that sort of scent. I can’t decide whether I like it or not (not keen on White Musk but the Philosophy is gentler although in the same vein I think)

Khiel's Original Musk. A more sophisticated version of white musk. Comes in an oil or EDT.

I had a sample of the MB milk musk and agree it's beautiful! Also like the Kiehls one

I don't know why you think you're too old for it! I still have some and I'm 51. Perfume is ageless! However, if you wants something new but similar, then YY to Kiehl's , Jovan and Alyssa Ashley. I also recommend Avon Soft Musk, which is a powdery floral musk and only costs a fiver. Those Al Rehab rollerballs oils you can get cheaply on Amazon are excellent. The White Musk one was superb and only a few quid.

Al Rehab White Musk. Don't be put off by the ridiculously low price. It's beautiful (as are a lot of AR oils). It's softer than TBS version, nuzzlier and creamier but still very much a lovely soft white musk.

That's lots of options I'd never have come up with myself, and some cheaper ones to take a chance on too.

I'm not going to buy from the Body Shop, so appreciate the alternatives.

I got this for my Mum and nearly kept it. It was 12.99 on Amazon.

I mentioned somewhere on the board that a Juliette has got a gun fragrance was very much like BS White Musk but I dunno who would want to pay more if they are the same?

@Deathraystare Do you mean Juliette Has a Gun This is Not a Perfume? I found that quite white musky. I totally agree about price. For example, why buy Tom Ford Neroli Portofini when it really does smells exactly like 4711? (I call him Tom I Can't Afford)

It was called Musc something. Not insignificance but something like meaning I suppose not shouty!
