That is it really. I think shiny. To wear with loose fit jeans. Must be really comfortable.

Watching with interest. I bought a pair of loafers from Asos. They are horribly uncomfortable

savvy7 · 20/03/2021 08:23

Russell & Bromley

Annebronte · 20/03/2021 08:28

Russel and Bromley. Chunky soled ones.

Nohomemadecandles · 20/03/2021 08:29

I had a pair of Ugg ones a few years ago. My husband saw them in the sale and bought them for me. I was a bit Hmm but they were without doubt the comfiest loafers ever worn!

GVmama · 20/03/2021 08:44

I think this is definitely something you need to wait for the shops to reopen for unfortunately, so many are stiff and uncomfortable to wear. I have been lusting after a pair of backless loafers but am not spending at the moment so will resist!

Tightwad2020 · 20/03/2021 10:30

Russell & Bromley. I would love to try some of the new Tod's collections, which look properly chunky and supportive, but at over £500 a pop, I will be waiting a good long while. Maybe I can crowd-fund among my family come birthday and Christmas?

Redact · 20/03/2021 10:39

Russell & Bromley here too, they last for ages and are extremely comfy. Bass Weejuns, I've not tried them but heard good things and intend to order a pair

VenusClapTrap · 20/03/2021 12:59

Mine are Russell and Bromley too. I’m on my second pair of pewter ones, after I wore the first pair into the ground.

requitalissima · 20/03/2021 13:28

The only loafer to buy, ever, is a Tod's loafer Grin.

requitalissima · 20/03/2021 13:31

A pair of said Tod's loafers would be nice as well Hmm

VerityWibbleWobble · 20/03/2021 16:21

Can anyone recommend a pair of loafers or driving shoes that have really soft backs? I can't have any more shredded heels.

Maireas · 20/03/2021 17:31

Church's Pembury black leather loafers. They are comfortable and smart. Last ages.

dementedma · 20/03/2021 17:33

After seeing as ad on FB I am coveting the loafers and brogues on the Embassy website.

Northernsoullover · 20/03/2021 17:54

I've had Hotter loafers come up on my adverts now! They actually look ok. In white which is a no no but the style is fine.

limesoda · 20/03/2021 18:02

I adore my grenson Clara loafers

MargosKaftan · 20/03/2021 21:41

Does everyone wear socks with loafers, or bare feet?

Also want some but waiting for shops to reopen and can try on.

MindBodyChocolate · 20/03/2021 21:46

I’ve no idea if they’re comfortable but I’m thinking about these - made in northamptonshire. uk.nps-solovair.com/collections/womens/products/s0-1022-bur-g?variant=32064871039056

Wiredforsound · 21/03/2021 05:23

I have a pair of these. Hands down the best, comfiest shoes I have ever owned.

I like the look of those! Are they not heavy on the feet?

I wear those socks that are just like cotton ballet slippers, so invisible, but comfy. I got them from M&S.
WhereAreWeNow · 21/03/2021 06:49

Fitflop do a loafer called Lena that I think looks comfy and stylish. I've got lots of foot problems and worry they might be a bit flat/thin soled for me.

Wiredforsound · 21/03/2021 06:55

No, and they’re really flexible so they look like a serious shoe, but they feel like slippers.

Divebar2021 · 21/03/2021 07:15

I want loafers too and I’m contemplating the Bass Weejuns. The brands mentioned here are all really appealing but if I was going to spring for an expensive pair I think I’d want Gucci (and I’m really not otherwise designer motivated.)

How do you find Tods for size and especially width?
