Quality, thick jeans

Where can I find some flattering, thicker denim, preferably stretchy, and long lasting jeans? Willing to pay a little more for really decent ones. The ones I'm wearing now are jack wills and they're so thin that they're borderline jeggings.

I'm petite, and do prefer skinny style jeans. I don't think I'm cool enough for mom jeans, and I can't go through the stress of wet flares that I suffered in my teens again😆

I can recommend levis. Lovely, thick and high waisted. Slightly more costly but good value in the long run.

I also really like river island jeans, they come a close second. I have a few different styles

GrumpyHoonMain · 18/03/2021 23:08

GAP for me but only their authentic denim styles. Everything else is too stretchy

Disneyblue · 18/03/2021 23:09

I love M&Co jeans

ladygindiva · 18/03/2021 23:11

Echo pp. Levis. Owned some in the 90s pre kids and haven't been able to afford them since. Treated myself to a pair at Christmas and omg they are the best feeling jeans, ever. The price tag is justified.

Bearnecessity · 19/03/2021 08:47

I bought jeans from George/Asda and they are fab, look great, thick quality, comfy and wash really well...

NoMoreZigAndSharko · 19/03/2021 08:54

I find Lucy and Yak really good quality, but I've never tried their skinny fit jeans / trousers. Worth a try though maybe.

Lurkingforawhile · 19/03/2021 09:06

I’m so glad you’ve asked this question! I want to try some on in person, I wonder when we’ll be allowed to do that again?

zzzebra · 19/03/2021 09:08

I always go for GAP and they seem to last well.

pommedeterre · 19/03/2021 09:09

Levis, Topshop Jamie and I have a pair of Tesco skinny black jeans that just seem to go on and on!

Lurkingforawhile · 19/03/2021 09:11

Also, I plan to not worry about length anymore as we have a really good tailors so I can get them altered if needed. Worth paying a bit for I think.

Sooverthemill · 19/03/2021 09:16

I have lots of jeans and am 5'1. I get from Boden, Gap, Levi's, Frame, Boyish, Made in Heaven, Citizens of Humanity, . Once I know how a brand fits I often but BNWT on eBay or similar for a fraction of the price.

Bumblebee1980a · 19/03/2021 09:18

Another vote for Top shop Jamie jeans. Apparently they changed it their supplier a couple of years ago (or more) and haven't been quite as good. I still wear my old old Jamie jeans which are much better than my recent ones.

I quite like Mint velvet but feel there needs to be a size in between their small and medium but maybe that's just me. Their Jackson zip camo jeans are nice but I'd say go for the smaller version as they stretch easily.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 19/03/2021 14:30

I love Top shop Jamie's and my oldest pair is 5 years old and worn weekly

Tittie · 19/03/2021 16:16

Thank you all! I'm keen on brands available at ASOS, because while I'd rather try on in an actual shop, you can put in your height and weight and things and it'll tell you what size to get based on other customers' purchases. So Topshop Jamies/Levis it is! Smile

I cannot wait to go get fitted for a decent bra too when that is eventually allowed!!

@tittie

I love ordering from ASOS because I'm a premier account holder but Zalando is fantastic for different brands of jeans. Returns/refund process is great too

uncomfortablydumb53 · 19/03/2021 17:15

@Tittie
If it helps, ASOS now sell Top Shop Jamie's and their returns are quick and easy. Next also stock them

uncomfortablydumb53 · 19/03/2021 17:16

Oops sorry I realised you already know this!

Inneedofanewwardrobe · 19/03/2021 21:39

I’m petite and find the best jeans are river island and M&S
