Lucy and yak dungaree sizing

Does anyone know if Lucy and yak sizes run large or small? I'm 5ft 3 and usually a size 8 but not sure which size to order.

They are oversized... I’m 5’4 and a size 8-10 (8.5stone, small to medium frame, longer torso and shorter legs). In the original cord ones I order a small/10, and they are great, very loose, but not ridiculously oversized. The cord ones have a bit of stretch, so I could probably size down, but I like the fit of the smalls. I’ve just ordered an xs in a pair of the atlas dungarees that were in the sale. I’ve not got them yet, but I’m confident they’ll fit. Have you looked at the size guide?

I’m 5ft 6 and a vanity size 10 and have bought too many pairs over lockdown...
I have the the umi cords in 10R are a good fit for me although i went through a journey of wearing them once and then really stretching, feeling sad, but them coming back to shape permanently after a wash at 40. I would say my height is max for standard length because of bib position rather than leg length.
I’ve also got Lunas in a 10 and if I had slimmer legs could have sized down as they are very loose on the hips. Having said that the top of the bib sits on my nipples (small boobs) so maybe not.
The black cotton picks up all the fluff in the house (but I still love them). For me the lunas are a bolder style because they are more “carefree alternative oversized” vibe.
I have Easton on order Shock

They do vary across styles - the cord originals for example are very roomy around the hips whereas the Easton ones are more fitted in that area. If you take your measurements, Lucy&Yak will give you advice on what size is best in each style.

I’m 5’3 and a small size 12 and I got the cord originals in a size 10. They are VERY roomy, and going down a size meant that I didn’t feel like a toddler wearing too-big-hand me downs.

I have 3 pairs of the cord now in navy, sage green and ash pink and they’re pretty much all I’ve worn throughout lockdown.

They're pretty generous and I find the website is good at helping you decide - it tells you the models' clothes size and the size of dungarees they're wearing, plus whether or not that particular one is a closer or looser fit.

The cord ones are my favourite piece of clothing, I wear them allllll the time - going to get some cotton ones for summer!

I agree with others, the cords definitely run big. I wear a 12, and just bought the limited edition hand design ones In a 10, and they fit perfectly. As PP have said, the website is pretty good at helping with sizing.

Thank you all! I will have another look at sizing and see. I'm looking at the Luna ones.
