Apart from Adrienne: yoga workouts?

I’m posting in S&B rather than Fitness (or wherever) because to me yoga IS about Style and Beauty Grin

I love Adrienne yoga on YouTube but just wondering if there are any other equally good YouTube yoga offerings to try?

When I first stared online yoga I followed yoga with Erica who is also Austin based, I must look her YouTube channel up agajn

I like Erin Motz - search for Bad Yogi, she's very relatable, a good teacher and has free classes on her website and on Youtube. I much prefer her to Adrienne.

CardiCorgi · 19/03/2021 15:24

Paula Lay. On YouTube she is “YoginiMelbourne”. She has a very soothing voice and I like the stretching for hips and back. I like Adrienne too, but sometimes need something a bit quieter. To be honest, I’m still not overly keen on yoga, but both physio and sports doc have told me to do it.

MabelMoo23 · 19/03/2021 20:52

I need to do something - is yoga with Adrienne etc just on YouTube?

Stokey · 19/03/2021 20:57

I really rate Movement for Modern Life which is a subscription service. They have loads of different classes with different teachers and you can search by length of class, type of yoga, body part and emotion. You do have to pay but there are so many options that I definitely get my money's worth.

Sooverthemill · 19/03/2021 21:03

@MabelMoo23 yes it's free on YouTube here. If you want more she has an app that you pay to subscribe to. But you don't need to

PersonaNonGarter · 21/03/2021 12:55

Boho Beautiful - she is quite hard core for Pilates but I love that all her videos are set in stunning locations

StealthPolarBear · 21/03/2021 12:56

Thank you for this I will try kassandra. I got sick of the talking and the stupid stuff.

Fortunefavours1 · 21/03/2021 15:26

For those of you who're saying Adrienne is a bit too chatty, what does this consist of? I've wanted to try her workouts for a while and the chat thing is putting me off.

Sooverthemill · 21/03/2021 17:30

@Fortunefavours1 Adrienne is just very friendly. She usually starts off each video with a bit of a ramble but as the video progresses she is more focussed. I love her teaching style but sometimes I fast forward a few minutes to by pass the chat. Occasionally she kind of chats over an instruction which is annoying. Honestly you should try her. She is excellent.

JennysWell · 23/03/2021 16:35

@Fortunefavours1 lots of Adrienne's are under 10 mins, so just try them and see if you like her.

This is probably a dumb question, so forgive me but is there a specific type of yoga that's most effective for toning? I'm more interested in toning my arse than my chakras, so to speak.

Thabks for recommending. I did her shoulder and upper back one last night and will lower back tonight. Just the right amount of waffle.
Sooverthemill · 23/03/2021 19:31

@Blondiney I think vinyasa ( basically flow yoga like Adrienne does) is pretty good. Avoid Yin! That's bliss but not much moving

Thank you so much!

IllNeverLetGoJack · 24/03/2021 07:42

@Blondiney, ashtanga is the best for toning IME. I have never been fitter and leaner than when I did a lot of ashtanga! I've also heard bikram (sp?), the hot yoga, is amazing too, but I have never tried it.

IllNeverLetGoJack · 24/03/2021 07:43

But also agree with @Sooverthemill, that any vinyasa will probably be good. Hatha is pretty good too actually, once you get into it.

picknmix1984 · 24/03/2021 07:59

I'm going to stick with Adrienne for now as Kassandras decor and terrible fashion sense was upsetting me. I can't relax looking at that!

Fortunefavours1 · 24/03/2021 08:25

@Sooverthemill
Thanks for that
@JennysWell
Thanks for the links, will give it a go.

Sooverthemill · 24/03/2021 09:53

@picknmix1984 yes. But she has rather lovely cats

Ooh, that rings a bell actually. Thank you!

Sooverthemill · 25/03/2021 08:40

All those will indeed help you tone but also regular vinyasa does too. I do yoga almost every single day and people tell me how toned I am and I do nothing else at all. I can fit into jeans now at a higher weight that were Roos mall before I started regular yoga
