Returning to work and need shirts/blouses

From next month I'm returning to work full time (up until now I've done 2 days at work, 3 wfh). Until now, I've managed with a few smart dresses but I'd like to add some nice blouses/shirts to my work wear as I've got a few great pairs of trousers which haven't seen the light of day in ages. I like the idea of silk shirts but unfortunately they are not practical in a toddler household. So cotton or viscose preferred!

I'm not keen on cutesy prints so not a fan of Boden/Joules etc, although I like bold jewel colours. I also have big boobs so getting the right fit can be challenging and leave my chest area with gaping holes..

Any recommendations of specific tops or places to look? I had a look at & Other Stories and COS but the colours seemed particularly bland

I like esprit for this sort of thing.
But yes colour options seem fairly limited, why are there so many navy shirts? Confused

Massimo Dutti? Lovely colours here, tho all the non-silk ones appear to be polyester. www.massimodutti.com/gb/women/special-prices/shirts-%26-t-shirts-c1998507.html

Violetta by Mango. Or even Mango itself if you're smaller.

Religion are great for shirts, especially for big boobs. A lot of the styles can be translucent so I usually wear a black cami underneath.

How big are your boobs?

I like Hawes and Curtis for shirts - they’re beautiful quality. I’m a 32F and the 14s fit me

StarlightLady · 18/03/2021 06:34

I wear Oliver Bonus, Mint Velvet and John Lewis.

I like White Stuff for work tops. They have a spring sale on at the moment.

I’ve also got a toddler and have managed fine with &Other Stories silk shirts as they’re washable, so you might not have to discount silk? I wanted dark colours so did get navy but also a lovely dark green which has had lots of compliments.

Another vote for Hawes & Curtis

Esprit. Not expensive and they do nice cotton and viscose blouses. I don’t ever wear polyester.

phoebemcpeepee · 18/03/2021 08:33

Zara are great for blouses

ShinyHatStand · 18/03/2021 08:34

Hush have beautiful tops this season. Blouses rather than shirts but wash really well and I've had loads of compliments. Which is rare for me 😀

Oh those Massimo Dutti blouses are beautiful. And surprisingly affordable.
