Textured skin on face

I have textured almost like acne scarring on my forehead. I've never suffered with acne and have no idea why it is. Sometimes I feel these products we use make our skin worse?!
Has anyone used anything to help smooth skin out that's like this please?

I had same on my right cheek, I think it was sun damage because I drive a lot. Like some pores were more pronounced but there had never been a spot there. It was there for years but is going down a lot now since I started a Tretinoin treatment. I wasn't an over night fix though.
Use a facial SPF at the very least and check the UVA rating on it because SPF 30 SPF 50 etc is not the ageing prevention.

Have a Google for fungal acne (it's not really acne but looks like it and is mostly on foreheads) and see if it looks/sounds similar.
