At some point in December my skin broke out quite badly in a way it never had before. It’s was very itchy small bumps along my jaw line and around my chin and mouth. Mostly they never came to a head like a zit. They were red and raised and itchy and then died off but as they died off on my jaw they started appearing on my neck as in the photos. They’ve never gone away and I’ve added photos of them since 25th of January to today.

These photos are 25th jan

I would put money on peri-oral dermatitis, the inching, small bumps that look like a pimple but never come to a head, the persistence of it.
Treating it like acne (using anything harsh on it) will only make it worse. Instead, be really gentle - gentle soapless cleanser and gentle moisturizer.
For me, a course of antibiotics from the doctor cleared it up and I now use soolantra cream (again a prescription).

Thank you everyone.

I do have cats @Sacreblue! They don’t go near my face but I can’t rule out touching my face after petting them. I’m going to give them a wide berth for the time being until I can speak to the GP and get some answers.

I don’t do any face hair removal and I use a tea tree face wash and my moisturiser is from Lidl but it started before I switched to that moisturiser. I think I was using one from Avon before that. Maybe a reaction to that?

Anyway, will ring GP in the morning.

Thanks again Everyone.

Good luck tomorrow Uhtred!

And if it might be pointing to the cats - mine also preferred sleeping on my pillow cats are like the princess and the pea so make sure either they have no access to the bed or that the pillows and sheets that touch you are protected from the cats lying on them.
