What can I wear with this dress?

Hello...
I have this dress.Its quite short so was wondering what I could wear other than tights?Blue skinny jeans?Would blue frayed jeans look nice with it?Or leggings?Also would pumps look good for a casual look?I would appreciate your suggestions.

I'm not very stylish so probably missing the point but.... it looks very clerical/liturgical... so I would suggest a Biretta and prayer book

Hmm.... I reckon you need to steer it away from its austere, quite clerical look and wear it with the skinnies you suggest and pumps, preferably coloured ones.

Something comfy to drive your horse and carriage.

Bare tanned legs, if it's too short put on cycle shorts underneath.

You could open up the top buttons and collar area and wear it with a vest type top underneath to make a more spring/summer look and less formal. Would think either a black or white vest top.On feet I think clean white sand shoe type trainers to soften the look and make it more casual wearing.

Would need to be a bit of trial and error. It might not work with the long sleeves and might be best better off with just black chunky boots.

Tall boots. Chunky short boots. Brogues - all chunky. Wider leg trousers. Look at Cos. They have lots of dresses like this with wider leg 3/4 length trousers.

Unbutton and open up the neckline, fold up the sleeves and belt at the waist. Wear with either bare legs or opaque tights and chunky boots.

If it's the smocking detail dress on their website then either put socks and black trainers like how they've styled the lilac one or those chunky ankle boots like they've styled the black and white floral one. or do the white trainers which look a bit like Nike Air Force 1's to me.

They do also give you lots of options e.g. a long shirt jacket or cropped shirt jacket both in different checks, thigh boots, thicker tights, platform chelsea boots or a green lined canvas jacket (I'd get a white/ecru beige etc or black canvas jacket and waist bag.

I love the eyeshadow too - All That She Wants - and some of the other colours are great - just to add a bit of a modern take to your eyes (I love Stila Kitten!) - if you're brave you could wear the blue nail polish, the do it all stick is fine too.

It does look a bit churchy though!

I wouldn’t wear it with jeans, I’d wear it like this, the shortness showing legs balances out the width and high neck of the dress
