Recommend a new strong perfume for a post-Covid nose

After having Covid in November my sense of smell still isn’t fully recovered so I can only seem to smell stronger smells fully.

In the Before Times I loved perfumes such as La Vie est Belle, Alien and Angel.

I guess I’m looking for a perfum that really stands out and that I can smell!

FatimaLovesBread · 14/03/2021 17:54

Tom Ford - Tobacco vanille

I'm the same with my post covid nose although I'm only 4 weeks in. Put some on today and managed to smell it

MissBattleaxe · 14/03/2021 17:55

Womanity is long discontinued. Try Alien, Clinique Aromatics Elixir, Lanvin Arpege and Shalimar.

Chuckitout · 14/03/2021 17:56

Oh no don't do this. Think of all the people who can still smell. Too much perfume is far worse than not enough.

It’s defo back in the game. I got some directly from muffler.com for Xmas and just ordered more!
Yellow85 · 14/03/2021 18:22

^jesus I meant mugler.com!!!!!!!

Meredithgrey1 · 14/03/2021 18:25

Remember that if you can smell it, it might be that to other people it’s really strong. Which can be unpleasant if it’s a nice perfume.

VVKills27 · 14/03/2021 18:43

Lou Lou by Cacharel. Still considered a work of genius by the top noses but costs peanuts so no loss should you revert to your old perfumes when your sense of smell returns. It’s strong stuff.

Blackcountrychik · 14/03/2021 18:47

Calvin Klein Eternity
Moschino Pink bottle (bottle similar to a bottle of flash )

Both smell reallllllyyyy strong and can smell them a mile off for ages .

lachy · 14/03/2021 19:03

I had a bottle of Samsara (Guerlain) for Christmas and it's lovely.

Level75 · 14/03/2021 19:05

Strong smelling perfume is really antisocial. Please don't do it.

QueenPaw · 14/03/2021 20:55

It's not anti social depending where you wear it. To an opticians appointment maybe yes
I have masses of perfumes, some are office friendly, some for nights out, some light body sprays for if I know I'm going somewhere like the GP/opticians/food shopping..

BaconAndAvocado · 15/03/2021 09:20

Thanks all.
Oh wow, I'd forgotten about Womanity. A gorgeous perfume and one I always got complimented on.

Although the 80s was my era I've never tried Loulou! Will seek it out.
I was more of a Calvin Klein Obsession and Dior Poison gal.
Oh! And Body Shop Dewberry, whoa that was strong!

I have Flowerbomb but, at the moment, it's not strong enough.

A good friend wears
Agent Provocateur and it lingered the day after she came round for dinner. But unfortunately, on me it just wasn't the same.

@Yellow85 you're right. I can see Womanity on the Mugler page. Luckily for Womanity fans, I won't be buying up any. I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy! That caviar note!

LouLou is a good call. Still a classic.
