Face wash and moisturiser

Hi all,

Could I have recommendations for a face wash and moisturiser please?

I have normal skin, bonus points for being vegan/cruelty free/eco friendly etc etc

Budget £30 off for the two!

Thanks in advance 😊

CeraVe Hydrating cleanser is the best I have ever tried including £££ ones. The Ordinary natural moisturising factors with HA is no frills but really effective. It that's too heavy then one of the Hada Labo lotions used as a moisturiser may work well. Gothamista did a good video recently on youtube breaking down all the Hada Labo products.

I use 2, Pai Camelia and Rose for morning and second cleanse at night and Merumaya Melting cleansing balm for my first cleanse at night or sometimes the AM depending on my skin. Both fantastic, cruelty free and vegan. The Pai is a bit exxy but lasts for ages.

Sorry @flappityflippers1 just reread your post, I’m half asleep! The Merumaya is £20, I’ve got no recommendations for moisturiser, sorry. I have used some Superdrug products in the past and was pleasantly surprised by them, also cruelty free, might be worth a look?

bar of soap
weleda almond range, but doesn't contain spf that you would need to add

I've found using aqueous cream as a soap substitute with the Aldi Q10 night cream as a morning and night face routine is keeping my skin in good condition

Day cream or night cream OP?

I was going to recommend exactly the same. CeraVe and Hada Labo.

I love the Q+A ginger moisturiser, bought it on offer for £6 ish from Holland and Barrett recently, think it’s still under £10 full price.

Head to Boots for Botanics All Bright Cleansing foam wash which is my current favourite and Olay Regenerist Whip SPF30, great smell and texture, currently half price. It's usually on offer somewhere!

I recently started using Hada Labo (face wash cleanser and the red moisturising serum) they were about £17 each from Superdrug - I really like them. The face wash in particular feels lovely and is really good at getting makeup off. I like the serum too but I find I need another moisturiser (I use a garnier one with an spf) afterwards as it makes my skin feel a little tight (it has retinol and hyaluronic acid in it).

Awesome thanks all!

Umm I think day cream... do I need a night cream?
