Hi everyone. I'm due to have my second baby in May. I had 2 miscarriages prior to this pregnancy and what with baby loss, lockdowns, low mood comfort eating etc over the past 18 months let's just say I'm not expecting to 'snap back' after the birth.

Looking forward to gradually getting into a healthier size / lifestyle again but basically I have a wedding to attend in July. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for more flattering styles of dresses / outfits I could wear! I'm usually a pear shape.

Thank you in advance x

I was in a similar position when DS2 was 6 weeks old and my brother was getting married. I ended up wearing a maternity dress from Seraphine which seemed to disguise a lot of the lumps and bumps. I guess it had extra material in the right places!

It was this one and I got a huge matching fascinator in exactly the same colour https://www.seraphine.com/en-gb/a-line-royal-blue-dress/

Fairly plain but the colour was gorgeous and I was happy to wear something unfussy that day.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, how lovely for you Smile

Is just focus on finding something with easy access so you don’t have to fully undress to feed or pump. I remember one wedding with an unfortunate bridesmaids dress design for my cousin. Nursing dresses or a wrap dress paired with a camisole.

I had a similar issue and attended a friends wedding 13 days after having DC2.
I ended up wearing a skirt and top combination from coast - it was a floral print skirt and dark, loose fitting top which I was able to pull up for breastfeeding

Don't wear jersey. Too many potential lumps and bumps.

If you're breastfeeding, get a high waisted full midi skirt and a boxy sleeveless top that you can pull up to feed.
