Have you ever used your Estradiol on your face?

I have been prescribed oestrogen cream meant for down below and using it for a couple of years, with success.
I've read that oestrogen cream Is supposed to plump and rehydrate facial skin, especially in older women. This was news to me!
So now I'm thinking of adding a teeny tiny amount to my usual face cream each morning. As an experiment.
I dont see the point of having a youthful fanjo if the old boat looks like a battleaxe.
I want the carpets to match the curtains as it were.
What's the worst that can happen?.

Crack on - tell us how it goes.

I love that: carpets matching curtains. Grin. Let us know how it goes.

🤣 please tells us how it goes.

What’s it meant to do for the carpet? I thought creams like that were just to stop dryness and stuff - do they do more?! - what?!?!

borntobequiet · 12/03/2021 21:37

I use HRT gel that I rub on to my thighs and often dampen the residue on my palms and smooth over my face, it’s never made the slightest difference to my skin 😕 but I hate to waste it.

Christ! Don't do it!

I had the same thought and put a tiny smear under my eye to compare the difference with my normal eye cream, and ended up with a retinal vein occlusion...

Seriously, don't do it.

likeamillpond · 13/03/2021 11:22

Yikes I dont fancy that!
I think I'll try my hand first.

Yes it's for use internally. It's meant to plump everything up as well as for dryness. Oestrogen is also supposed to plump up and thicken skin in genera and make it more youthful. Any dermatologists or beauty therapists around?

HRT (systemic estrogen) is said to help the skin of the face, etc.

Topical estrogen should stay in the genital region.

I wouldn't try it on your hand. Your hands can accidentally touch your face or eyes.

I'm lucky I didn't lose the sight in that eye. It was really scary, and it cost a fortune seeing a retinal specialist for the next two years, to make sure no further damage occurred.

Eat an avocado now and then if you want nice skin. Keep the vaginal estrogen for the vulva and vagina.
