Where can I find fun/brightly coloured pants now?

And not fun as in sexy- I have my share of those. I’m looking for your average day to day knickers in a bikini to full brief that aren’t just black/grey/white or with a daisy design from M&S. I used to buy from floozie by French frost at Debenhams but they only do swimwear now. What I liked about those was the bright colours, sometimes a print with flamingoes or gingham or birds! They also had a range of different fabrics and I liked the satin ones. It cheered me up to have pretty pants on.

Anyone have any ideas before I buy a 5 pack of black cotton briefs from M&S?

I've just bought a multi pack from Asda when I went shopping. They had lots of bright colours.

I'd say buy a size down from what you usually are.

These bright enough? www.myoddballs.com/collections/womens-underwear-bundles they are seriously comfortable.

FeistySheep · 11/03/2021 17:22

Not cheap but very colourful! www.dedoles.co.uk/briefs-and-boxer-shorts

Stripe and Stare

MemoryIsRAM · 11/03/2021 21:14

I just bought a set of Big Pants (you know the kind!) from Sainsbury's - very bright, some with rainbows, some striped.

Someone on here recommended Ella & Me. So good. Bamboo or lace. Scroll down for more colours...

I picked up a recommendation for these big pants here and I love them. Great quality (better than Marks) , stay put, comfy cotton and colourful too. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0825X89S3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?psc=1&pldnSite=1&th=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8
Thanks original OP

Are those amazon pants true to size grownup2? I waded through all the "Hi, man here, I like wearing ladies panties, will these make me look sexy?" enquiries in the question section but couldn't glean that info. Presumably they have a decent-sized gusset if they can accommodate a penis Grin

Another vote for Stripe & Stare

OP, as someone who won’t do white (reminds me of school) or beige, (makes me look as if l have a cardboard crotch), I feel for you. I like to live life in colour too.

I always buy 2 pairs of matching knickers when l buy a new bra. I supplement these mostly with M&S Brazillians, which are often on a multi purchase offer and come in a range of colours and fabrics including the satin you are looking for. Unlike multi packs, it does not feel as if you are being told what colours and fabrics you want. I find in multi packs of anything, there is always something (daisies?) which you don’t like.

That said, if the Brazillian cut is not for you, I find them really comfy, Next and John Lewis are your friends with ranges in cotton, satin and stretch lace.

My favourite brand is Dedoles

Every so often my MIL sends me a bundle of Bonds pants from Australia. I don't think anyone does loud like them :-)

www.bonds.com.au/

I don't know anywhere in the UK that stocks them although they do delivery from Australia for AUS 15. Maybe not the most sustainable way to shop for pants though!

Also, for anyone with a newborn, their zippy wondersuits are the absolute best items ever.

StarlightLady · 12/03/2021 08:10

John Lewis and House of Fraser used to sell a few colourful Bonds knickers (I think most were only available in store) but the selection was rather limited. They did some nice stretch lace ones way back, now in the big knicker drawer in the sky!

With some searching thouugh, Bonds can be found in the UK.

StarlightLady · 12/03/2021 08:12

PS: Buying direct from Australia may offer the best selection but you might end up paying customs duty. They could really end up expensive knickers.

cerseii · 12/03/2021 08:13

Funnily enough, M&S have brights in. I don’t normally buy underwear (or clothing!) from there, I usually get mine from VS. But they’re virtually the only shop open, thought I’d venture in

Needcoffeecoffeecoffee · 12/03/2021 08:13

Search scrundies HmmGrin and there are lots of handmade bright coloured pants by small companies/sole sewers.

I've decided this year to embrace my big bum and I have enough bottom to showcase some cool fabric!! Grin
I have rainbows, unicorns, disco balls etc!!

Yes, true. Very different if someone's sending you a hand-wrapped parcel.
StarlightLady · 12/03/2021 08:56

@dotty81 - Will there be a parcel for me? I look forward to receiving my little present from your family down under. 😀 You can’t have too many knix!

Ha ha yeah could be quite a lucrative (if not legal) enterprise knicker smuggling.

Ha ha - room for all I guess! But, yes, I found them true to size. I'm about a 16 waist with slightly slimmer hips and size L is perfect and consistent across different colour packs. Generously cut in every dimension and wash really well.
AluckyEllie · 12/03/2021 12:53

Thanks all!! I completely forgot about supermarkets-It’s been so long since I’ve been in a proper big one rather than ordering online. I’ve just bought a 4 pack of bright jewel colours from stripe and stare, and a couple from dedoles (good sale atm.)

Who’d have thought this would be my perfect afternoon post lockdown. I’m going into town and getting a haircut. Then a proper coffee, maybe some lunch. I’m going to finish that up with a foray into M&S to browse pants to my hearts content. It’s going to be glorious 😂

Loved Bond pants! Used to be able to buy them from John Lewis and then they disappeared. Good to know they are still out there.

I've just bought the bright neon Stripe and Stare pack. A friend is appalled. Evidently I'm a grown up and should wear matching!!

bednow · 12/03/2021 23:47

I bought some beautiful ones from Ella and Me. The bamboo ones are so comfortable and the lace and Liberty ones are definitely my 'special pants'!
