I’ve lost my way a bit over the past year. Working from home, I haven’t really bothered wearing much make up apart from the odd zoom call. I have a bag full of old make up & I’d like to treat myself to some nice new & preferably flattering products.

My skin is ok & mostly clear but I do have dark circles under the eyes & feel as if my eyes look smaller. I’ve never really worn eyeshadow, would this help or make things worse?

What products should I be looking at to help with a fairly natural, healthy look? I am a bit sensitive to some things so have often bought clinique which I seem to get on ok with. I love the look of Benefit products but I’m worried about wasting money if they don’t work for me.

Any other brands or particular product recs would be much appreciated. Also any suggestions for make up videos for my age - had a look online and there were tons!!

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal yes I saw that one online & thought it looked good. Does it make you shiny though? I would quite like a healthy glow but not too shiny/oily.

No, glowy but not shiny.

I use Clinique even better. It is a decent coverage and lasts too.
I use benefit brow products and love too faced also. The mascara is excellent.
I use Nars creamy concealer and I am using Nars eyeshadow or Mac.
Bobbi Brown primer and blusher. Again Benefit Hoola for a bronzer.
Becca highlighter and lipstick.
Urban decay finishing spray.
I do use powder and Bare Minerals is good. I keep searching for a good powder to be honest.

Whoever recommended the Revlon cream eyeshadow with brush thank you. It’s lovely 😍

I’ve just read back and it’s not on this thread, must have been a recommendation on another 🤭

My other recommendation is blending sponges. I find they really help when dealing with fine lines. I suspect if any foundation is blended well it will look great.

Following. I'm 38 and in a similar position - used to wear make up both days but due to lockdown and a new baby I barely do anymore and all my products are old and grotty.

My skin is combination and I have to be careful as a lot of products make me break out on my chin and nose. But others make me dry too.

Has anyone tried Trinny London products? I keep seeing ads on my Insta that look really good

I'm in similar situation, and have decided to try Studio 10 and Code 8 make up, which is meant to be for "mature" skin. Not got it yet but think it looks good. Follow donna may and ali bailey on instagram.

I switched to La Roche Posay for most of my creams a few years ago. I find they are a reasonable price so even if you try one that you wouldn’t buy again, you don’t feel like you have wasted too much money. This was after spending years pouring money into Clarins.
