Home haircut

Anyone reported to a little home trim? My hairdresser was allowed to open for about 3 weeks in November, other than that it hasn’t been touched in a year! It’s the longest it’s ever been and it’s so blooming heavy. I’ve just gone in with some scissors and gave myself some layers and a little feathering round my face. Hasn’t turned out too bad!!

Has anyone else braved it?

I've cut mine a few times. No real method, just snip of the ends when it starts looking like it needs it - in fairness I have vey thick wavy hair so it's a bit more forgiving than if I had straight hair.

I've cut my own for most of my life.
My hair is wavy.

I would not trust a friend or family member to do it - once was enough.

I've had a few bad haircuts at hairdressers. If you have wavy hair you need a hair stylist who can cut wavy and curly hair, and because straight hair has been popular for so long they aren't easy to find.

Yep. I’ve done it twice now and have bought some decent scissors for when I next do it. I have wavy hair and the cut I’ve just done looks better than when the hairdresser did it last!

This for the layers

This for the length at the back

Look up Brand Mondo on YouTube, he has great tutorials.
