If you sell/buy pre-loved clothes online, where do you use?

Ebay is so up and down and there seems to be so many hidden charges.

Vinted items sell for pennies.

I don't want to use facebook marketplace because it always seems to end up in drama/non payment/not turning up to collect etc.

I've downloaded Depop but every time I try to add anything there's no little camera icon to click on so I've given up on that.

Are there any really good facebook groups for selling clothes? I have some really nice items that still have the labels on that I know I just won't wear now so I might as well sell them so any advice would be much appreciated.

Does BIN mean buy it now? Sorry, I don't really know what I'm doing. 🤣 X

Yes it’s Buy It Now.

Always send tracked! Either post office signed for, or Hermes etc. That way people won’t be tempted to take the piss, and you’re covered if items do legitimately get lost.

Great, thank you. 😊

You could always try iSecondthat...

I use eBay, both buying and selling. FB marketplace isn't set up so well for selling clothing. Any cheeky offers I receive get declined. Mind, generally I list at around charity shop prices so my expectations aren't very high.

eBay. Use buy it now or you risk it going for 99p. Factor in that eBay/PayPal fees combined are about 15% including postage costs and price accordingly. Lots of pictures, and describe honestly, but no need for too much detail as long as your pics are good. Always post tracked.

Depop has a new layout, I've sold over 50 items on there mainly during may leave & it really helped! There are fees but you can add these to the price of the item, if you go to the 'house' icon you can add an item that way Grinif you have a selling page.

Maternity leave sorry! Hmm

MacDuffsMuff · 13/03/2021 22:05

I set up an account on Depop but every time I click on the house icon nothing happens! 😢 Any idea what I'm doing wrong @whiteflower84?

This is what I get when I tap the house icon...

I go to list an item, maybe you need to connect to Facebook? It's just a brilliant place to buy & sell anything! Xx

Oh I don't get anything like that! The house is greyed out and won't press. I'll try linking to FB and try again. It looks like a great place to sell.

@Ninkanink

You can’t cancel once it’s been bid on! You’re obligated to sell as that is the contract.

You will quickly earn a bad reputation if you do that!

Yes you can.
Ninkanink · 14/03/2021 09:38

See above... 🙂
