Can anyone recommend please a good place to buy a decent hoodie ie nice shape/fitting and decent quality (without being too expensive!) ?

Search for AWDis Cross neck hoodie on eBay. They are great quality, often to be found for twice the price on other sites once they've had a picture or slogan slapped on them. Wash well, have thumb holes and are lovely and thick for the winter.

Got my child a different Awdis hoodie too (surf one I think), also good quality, but a bit thinner. More of a summer one.

I bought one in Zara recently and it's surprisingly good. Nice fit and shape and under £20 I think.
Comparable to my Hush hoodies!

H&M do really good ones.

@LeSquigh you're welcome! I know, I was so excited when my detective work paid off and I worked out I could get 2 plain ones for the price of a decorated one I didn't particularly like. Happy days! I can't remember which ebay seller I used, but there are lots to choose from. They are the warmest, best quality hoodies I own.

Uniqlo. Totally plain, loads of different fits and shapes. Zippy, not zippy. Various types of materials too - I've got a hoodie dress in sweatshirt material, a fleecy zippy hoodie and one which is a sweat wicking material for running.

I've just bought one from the COS archive sale for £35. It's wool, so hoping it's not itchy. I find wool ones a bit more of a slimmer fit under coats
