Are those microfibre cleansing cloths really any good?

My cleansing routine is 2 cotton pads with eye make remover to remove mascara and brow pencil (and sometimes eyeshadow) Then I use Superfacialist cleansing oil. I massage it all over and then wash off with a facecloth rinsed in warm water.
This works for me my skin is clean and clear and I have a stash of face cloths that just go in the wash. But I'd quite like to stop using cotton pads. Are these special micro fiber washcloths really any good? Would I still need to use the eye makeup remover?

Microfiber is full of plastics and really bad for the environment. Bamboo towelling on the other hand is great for cleansing and supersoft (and eco friendly) I make my own face cloths using bamboo.

I got a set of 20 bamboo reusable 'cotton pads' from amazon, they're great. I just bung them in with my towels wash. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07S6LY3QV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

Tip - mine came with a nice drawstring pouch, I tried this in the washing machine twice with the drawstrings knotted and both times it came open and little cotton pads everywhere, so use a zippable delicates bag when washing.

Oh I didn't know that about microfibre Blush I'm glad I asked now!

I also didn't know about the resuable cotton pads so I'll order them, they sound like they'd work a treat. I won't have to change my routine really but will be better for the environment Smile

I got bamboo flannels from Amazon, really like them.

The make-up removing cloths from B&M are amazing, they remove the LOT even waterproof eye make-up. I use the white ones, the pink ones don't work as well for some reason. They are about £2 for a pack of two but they dont have them in every shop and you can't buy them online unfortunately.
