not for me, as a short person I need my clothes a bit more fitting.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/03/2021 11:19

I also like them

But I have 4 pairs of Lucy and Yak dungarees Grin

IrisW · 09/03/2021 11:34

I’m not a fan of any dungarees but the shape is particularly bad on these and they look really washed out, sorry!

WhiskyWhiskersdottir · 09/03/2021 11:44

Bit maternity

Wondermule · 09/03/2021 11:56

Yes if you’re thin and have a cute indie style and fun glasses.

Pigtailsandall · 09/03/2021 12:08

No, sorry. The pattern is nice and I bet they are comfy, but they look like those God-awful Lucy and Yak things which are essentially a shoddily-cut piece of cheap jersey hung up by two bits of string. They don't look worth the money. Sorry.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/03/2021 13:06

The Lucy and yak ones are that stiff, dungaree cotton - not jersey at all Confused

AnyFucker · 09/03/2021 13:33

Dungarees are a very divisive subject 😊

toastfiend · 09/03/2021 13:43

I do think when you're going to slate a particular brand that it's worth knowing whether the thing you're slating is actually a feature of their products. I accept that they're divisive, but to my knowledge, Lucy & Yak have never produced jersey dungarees. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, I like them, OP, but I own many pairs of dungarees, and pretty much live in them, so I'm by no means providing an unbiased opinion. For the price, though, I think you can get similar to those you have posted from Thunderegg for less.

idontlikealdi · 09/03/2021 13:44

No. They don't even make the model look great.

I am in the dungarees are for toddlers camp though.

steppemum · 09/03/2021 13:49

dd2 is 13 and I think she would love them, and look amazing in them.

I am 54, I would look ridiculous in them.

Where exactly the line falls between 13 and 54 depends on what you look like and your figure. Grin

AnyFucker · 09/03/2021 14:39

I am 55 and would wear them with a vest and Birkenstock’s or flip flops on holiday.

Pigtailsandall · 09/03/2021 14:40

@lauriefairycake Fair enough, to me they look like jersey because they are so shapeless. I'd expect a good quality cotton to hang better.

I know they seem to evoke a lot of feeling in committed customers but saying "slate" when someone expresses an opinion about how a particular brand generally looks is a bit ott.. if someone likes them, fine, but personally I don't want to be matchy matchy with my toddler Grin. I got the same vibe from these dungarees.

Anyway, OP, I think as far as dungarees go you could do better!

midsomermurderess · 09/03/2021 15:56

They have a touch of the 'ooh, I'm mad me' about them. Hair in bunches or plaits and Irregular Choice-style shoes and you're good to go.

joystir59 · 09/03/2021 15:58

Not a good look at all imo

Templetree · 09/03/2021 15:59

Awful.

I think they would be nice to wear if you are pregnant

SummaLuvin · 09/03/2021 17:33

ghastly. unless you like to look like you have a bulbous saggy crotch

Difficultusername · 09/03/2021 17:39

I have some from eBay that are identical to those- I'm pretty sure they're the same ones actually. The fabric is actually pretty good. However, I bought them as I was heavily pregnant and couldn't fit in anything. The plan was to be able to wear after birth as casual/loungewear. BUT they are already giant and super unflattering now I'm not pregnant... if you are planning on having a baby at any point though I totally recommend them, they were so comfy!

Difficultusername · 09/03/2021 17:42

These were the ones I have. They appear on quite a few websites that sell Italian clothes, hence why I think they're probably the same ones!

I think they’re ok for on holiday or a relaxed summers day- they’re not really my style personally but I wouldn’t think they were awful on someone else.

Dailywalk · 09/03/2021 21:30

Grin not the style I had in mind. Thanks foe all the replies. Don’t want to look like a toddler not having another baby so don’t think I’ll be buying them.

No. Dungarees have never been and will never be nice on anyone over the age of five.
