Mascara - come over and tell me about yours. I can't find one that doesn't slip off my lashes by 10am.

Bloomin' panda eyes by mid morning.

I've tried the L'Oreal huge and enormous and massive ones. Waterproof/not waterproof. At the moment it's a Stila one. I think the one before that was Benefits. I tried the Eko tubing one yonks ago when it was new and that just flaked off.

sigh.

I think it's oil in my skin rather than watering eyes but - who knows? Maybe both. Maybe it's hopeless.

Tel me about yours. TIA

Maybeline sky high has been found round tiktok. The results look amazing

marchduck · 08/03/2021 21:03

I like Lancôme Monsieur Big, good staying power on my lashes.
I'll have to try Max Factor 2000 Calorie again, haven't had it for years but it was good

Laiste · 08/03/2021 21:05

I guess it all depends on what your problem is.

I've got quite long lashes but I'm not an eye rubber. I don't think i'm particularly watery (remember the thick cigarette smoke in pubs and clubs in the old days? Back then i was VERY watery eye'd!)(shows age)

I think maybe the mositurisers i'm using now for - ahem - older skin is making the mascara slide off perhaps.

Definitely Estée Lauder Double Wear - tubing mascara is the way to go!

colouringindoors · 08/03/2021 21:08

All the Clinique one's I've used have been great.

scottiedogs · 08/03/2021 21:14

Another vote for Lancome

murmurlade · 08/03/2021 21:24

Now hear me out. Boots natural collection waterproof. I won't use anything else and it's 2 quid! I always get compliments.

DeeDimer · 08/03/2021 21:24

Another vote here for the No.7 tubing one. It survives 12.5 hour shifts on the ward in full PPE and is easy to remove.

ProperVexed · 08/03/2021 21:30

Max Factor aqua lash was superb....then they discontinued it. Almost as good is MaxFactor 2000 calorie. Everything else ( and I've tried a lot) leave me with dark circles within a few hours.

dontputitinyourmouth · 08/03/2021 21:32

Clinique lash power, it’s a tubing one so it almost sets on your lashes, only way to get it off is with warm water. My skin is horrendously oily and it’s the only one that doesn’t move.

elsaesmeralda · 08/03/2021 21:34

Maybelline lash sensational, I've used it for years now and love it, i really want to try the new sky high one

Laiste · 08/03/2021 21:34

Tubing mascaras .... hmm. Seems to be a following.

RosesAndHellebores · 08/03/2021 21:35

elsaesmeralda · 08/03/2021 21:35

Also like L'Oréal telescopic

Missmonkeypenny · 08/03/2021 21:37

Tropic lash extension for me!

Mascara - come over and tell me about yours. I can't find one that doesn't slip off my lashes by 10am.
Laiste · 08/03/2021 21:37

So i want to try clinique lash power, Max Factor 2000 calorie, No 7 tubing one, and Estee Lauder Double ear.

I cannot believe no one has mentioned the holy grail yet...

Too Faced Better than Sex

I’ve been at work for 13 hours today - teacher life! It’s still as perfect as it was at 5.30am. Normally have lash extensions but this makes my stubby lashes look fabulous.

tsmainsqueeze · 08/03/2021 21:43

maybelline great lash - blackest black - 2 kinds of brush available i think. I always go for the big brush.
I wear mascara every day and have tried so many over the years , i have stopped trying others now as this is my favourite .
It never smudges ,very black , thick lush lashes .

olympicsrock · 08/03/2021 21:43

Another vote for clinique lash power.

Laiste · 08/03/2021 21:44

@Missmonkeypenny is that the name of a brand of mascara or an actual lash extension?

I tried lash extensions about 8 years ago. NEVER AGAIN! It took me 6 months and £££ to get my own lashes back healthy.

2 of my older DDs have recently tried them and have decided not again as well.

They look fab at first, but
a) upkeep (can't rub your eyes, have to be careful washing ect)
b) damage to lashes
c) price
d) having to top the bloody things up at home because they start dropping out from apx day 3.
e) can't wear mascara over them :p

I have the same problem with smudging with so many brands.

I'm currently using a Revolution one I bought based on the reviews on Superdrug. No smudging at all, no flaking, removes easy enough, and they are cheap... I think were on offer for 2 for £8.
