Coconut oil as eye make up remover

Good or bad?
I've been using it on my eyes for mascara and eyebrow shadow removing - I do like how it works.
But read conflicting info and wonder if I'm doing the right thing?

Bought baby coconut oil, but didn't work on my lo, it's been sitting on the shelf for a bit, and decided to try it on myself.

I think I’ve read it’s comedogenic so may cause spots. Body Shop do a camomile balm which is excellent for removing eye make up, and if you’re feeling flush, Clinique take the day off balm is even better

I haven’t used it myself but like the previous poster, I have read where it is comedogenic.

How long have you been using it? I mean, if it’s working for you and you’ve been using it for a while then crack on I say.

I’ve been using it to remove all makeup for years. I also use a thin layer as a facial moisturiser. Never had any problems and have lovely, spot-free skin.
Any other skin products are too harsh for me, must be the chemicals.
If it works for you then keep going!

I’ve been using it for over a year to ditch make up wipes. It’s so good at removing make up but I would suggest cleansing your skin really well afterwards to avoid it clogging up your skin

I've only been using it around my eyes, as I don't wear any other make up... I do feel like there's no residue left, whereas with micelllar water it didn't always feel like it. Another thing I like about using coconut oil is that it doesn't irritate my eyes like more runny make up removers do

Thanks I'll check those products out too

I've used the Camomile balm, and it's really good. I don't think you need to be feeling flush either- I think it was about £11, but it lasted a good six months.
