What would you pair with this skirt?

Hi all,

I just bought this skirt and am at a loss as to what to wear with it! I hardly ever wear skirts (dresses or trousers) and never this length.

Just felt like a change (famous last words). I'm 5'6" and a size 10-12 usually.
Any thoughts?

What would you pair with this skirt?

Oh that sweater is cute @Toilenstripes - I'm getting back into knitwear lately after years of being a jumper refusenik!

I’ve been looking at that skirt but always wonder about the quality and sizing on Chicwish.

I’m a size 14-16 pear shape, not sure they cut for my size?

@HermioneWeasley I was a bit worried too but ended up getting a few things and sizing seems standard for "western" bodies if that makes sense? Quality seems good too as far as I can tell (not like Shein)

I take a 29-30 waist in jeans and the M size is just about fine, maybe could have sized up safely as waist is elastic.

I bought a couple of sweaters too (part of my new attempt to shake up wardrobe) and sizing and quality really decent, have even had some nice compliments (they must look nice on Zoom Wink)

I mean the M size skirt, just to be clear

I have a very similar skirt op which I bought a few years ago from asos! I wore it for a wedding teamed with a black cropped ribbed knit jumper - I say cropped, it didn't actually show my belly but it sat nicely just at the top of the waistband , I wore it with gold and black heels. I loved that outfit!

@Greencabin thanks - cropped style makes sense of course. Never occurs to me as I tend to leave those to my DDs ;-)

You could play with it a bit and dress it down with a nice white t- shirt. I saw a picture like that the other day and it was so refreshing. Mind you - the wearer was pretty stunning.

You could wear this with anything! It’s gorgeous. T-shirt and denim jacket, a jumper or a cami top in warm weather. Shoes-wise, ankle boots or pointed flats or heels would be lovely. Excuse me while I also go buy this skirt immediately.

Thank you! Feel much more confident about trying it with different things now. Will be nice for spring Smile

Black biker boots or DM's and a slim fit bodysuit or roll neck jumper and biker jacket.

It is beautiful. I would wear it with a soft white T-shirt and black ballerina shoes
