Advent calendar re-buys

Hello, anyone considering repurchasing any thing they got in their advent calendars?

I got the Liberty one and am rather tempted by Venn age-reversing concentrate which I've been using every day since I got it and it's coming to an end. But it is £155 so rather eye-watering. The other one I'm tempted by is the Bader rich cream, but again £125, so the two of those together are more than the calendar price!

Interested to hear other recommendations now a few months have passed.

Urban Veda Reviving Renewal Night Cream from the H&B calendar. A light cream with a lovely rose scent.

Sunday Riley Good Genes. I can’t remember which calendar it was in but my skin bloody loves the stuff. My wallet not so much!

The Tumeric shower gel from the H&B , lovely smell .
DD likes the Coffee/Citrus scrub but it's huge so a while before that needs re-bought

If you do succumb, there's a Space NK offer starting tomorrow with a goody bag with a £175 spend at Space NK. There are details on www.reallyree.com

Urban Veda Reviving Renewal Night Cream from the H&B calendar. A light cream with a lovely rose scent.
Yes I repurchased that one too as it's really lovely and Sainsbury's had it half price!

Am planning to repurchase the Ethique solid face bar cleanser and the Dead Sea Magic BB cream too. I've really enjoyed almost everything in the H&B calendar Smile

I was thinking of starting a thread like this.

I really like the Elemis marine cream (Look Fantastic). I'd never used it before but it's lovely. Maybe when I've finished the moisturisers I've got and if it's on offer. I have the ESPA one to try too from the same calendar though.

I also like the ethique bars we got in the Holland & Barrett calendar.

Can't think of anything else but there is quite a bit I haven't tried yet.

ElderMillennial · 07/03/2021 14:59

Whats the spa magic bb cream colour like?

I haven't tried it but my skin tone is medium-tan and I don't want to open it if it's going to be the wrong colour for me. I'd rather pass it on off it's going to be the wrong colour.

I love the Rituals scrub from the LF calendar. Nearly finished that but not sure if I will repurchase as I fear it was £££.

I love that Elemis moisturiser too, in fact that's why I got the calendar. I am also loving the This Works night handcream, lots left tho. Also I adore the Lumene cloudberry face wash, it smells lovely.

I've got a lot of things to finish before I buy anything else to be fair thanks to all you S&B enablers Grin

SpeckledyHen · 07/03/2021 15:23

Yes already bought the spa magic BB cream from H & B calendar , the True facial oil , and the hair mask ( name escapes me ) Will also buy the turmeric shower gel when my other ones run out .

ElderMillennial · 07/03/2021 15:59

Yes I actually bought the LF calendar as the value of the Elemis and the ESPA moisturisers made it quite a good deal.

Stokey · 07/03/2021 18:44

Thanks for the heads-up @Housewife2010. I just had a look and annoyingly they don't stock the Venn. The GWP still looks great though, would be nice to have a little bump in samples ready for Spring!

Has anyone else tried the dr organic(?) moisturiser? I quite like the feel and texture of it (I have dry / combination skin). Not sure about the scent though.

Has anyone tried the mascara? I haven't yet.

I gave away the Natasha Dennis blush fo someone on Mumsnet as it didn't seem to be my colour.

DaisyRenton18 · 09/03/2021 10:58

I've repeat-bought Formula Sleep cream obsessively since the M&S calendar either 2018 or 2019.
I bought a huge Elasticiser based on an advent calendar in 2019 (I think) - it's still going! Still smells lovely but I'm not sure I'll get to the end of it before it goes off.
From 2020 calendars I will buy Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara again & a Molten Brown shower gel which smelt gorgeous. Rhubarb and rose, or something.

I'm also another one who bought the LF calendar for the Elemis, but I probably wouldn't buy that on its own as seems too indulgent for every day for me.

ElderMillennial · 09/03/2021 11:15

I had two M&S calendars and I liked the formula sleep cream but didn't notice it do anything special.

I do like the elasticiser. I don't think I've ever bought it but it is often in calendars and GWPs.

The rhubarb and rose shower gel is nice.

I really like an indulgent cream. I use it as a night cream.
