These sandals - yay or nay?

I've just ordered them. They look comfy and I think they'd look nice with a couple of things I have.

I'm crap at choosing sandals. Boots and shoes, I seem to know what I like, but sandals I can't get my head round for some reason!

I have two similar pairs in white and gold from a couple of years ago and wear them a lot - and I only really wear dresses or shorts in the summer.
Also, in case it makes a difference, they got the thumbs up from my physio. I had a knee operation a few years ago and for a while I wasn’t allowed to wear anything completely flat. Apparently a bit of a heel - but not too much - is the way forward. Who knew?

www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,311/1858592139 These are mine. Very similar- and very comfy.

HummusAndCarrotSticks · 07/03/2021 15:19

My phone isn't letting me open than link for some reason @EarlGreywithLemon! All the reviews sat comfy and they certainly look it.

I've ordered another pair to try as well. May end up keeping both for different occasions.

Think these are chunky but not TOO chunky..? They are more my style I think, but I'll try them on with some outfits and will decide.

I ordered the same pair a few weeks ago in the sale, haven't worn them yet but I had a previous pair that were similar and I can chase a toddler in them which is what they are needed for.

HummusAndCarrotSticks · 07/03/2021 15:27

Yes, I have a rambunctious 3 yo who also needs much chasing, plus school run! Good to know they pass that acid test Smile

I just bought a similar pair in navy, they are very comfy and look good on.

peachgreen · 07/03/2021 15:37

I'd like them much more if they were flat (with or without the weaved sole) but otherwise I think they're really nice.

EarlGreywithLemon · 07/03/2021 16:00

@HummusAndCarrotSticks

They're lovely Earl!
Thank you- they’re very similar to yours! I hope they serve you as well as mine have served me.
ElspethFlashman · 07/03/2021 16:04

Yeah I have yours EarlGrey in the lower wedge and the higher wedge. I think the high ones are Holiday and the lower wedge is Hailey or similar. Can't remember the flat version but it also begins with a H.

The lower wedge are the most comfortable things I own, the fabric is so soft.

Such a shame nonUKers can't order from Office anymore without custom charges. Sad

WithIcePlease · 07/03/2021 16:21

I bought those on a sweltering day in London a few years ago and they were so comfortable. They must be popular as they subsequently brought them out in about 20 colours. They are not particularly trendy or cool but must be good for offices demographic which isn't 'old lady'

ElspethFlashman · 07/03/2021 16:54

Oh no wait I'm wrong, it's Holiday: High Wedge, Maiden: Low Wedge, and Hallie: Flat.

Exact same shoe though. Same as OPs except with 2 less criss crosses.

OPs ones are called Sonia.

Pieceofpurplesky · 07/03/2021 19:55

The second ones I love. And yes, the 80 year old has good taste!

EllaPaella · 07/03/2021 19:58

I like the black chunky ones. Personally not keen at all on the other ones.

HummusAndCarrotSticks · 07/03/2021 20:03

Might end up keeping them both... the first ones for comfort and the others just because I like them. But we'll see how they both look on my horrible feet Grin. Might end up deciding there's nothing wrong with trainers all summer after all.

I don't like either pair, sorry. But if they're comfy and you like them, who cares!

CakeInMyFace · 07/03/2021 20:32

I bought these in the rose gold OP and they are lovely and comfy. I broke my ankle a few years ago and have ongoing issues so love a pair of comfy sandals. Smile

LazyDaisy10 · 07/03/2021 20:43

Thanks op just ordered a pair Smile

SpeckledyHen · 07/03/2021 21:13

I bought the first ones last year, didn’t like the look of the join along the middle of the straps but kept them anyway because they were so comfortable. They stretched very quickly and then the strap broke within 2 months . Not impressed to get so little wear out of them

Hopeishere52 · 07/03/2021 21:23

They look lovely. Great colour and will go with lots of things.

Bluewavescrashing · 07/03/2021 21:24

Here you are @Bluewavescrashing. Excuse the giant link! I am on my phone. If it doesn't work, google Sonia Espadrille Sandals and they should come up.
