Perfect denim jacket?

Hi, first time poster but long time lurker on these boards I'm hunting for the perfect denim jacket for the spring and wondered if anyone had bought one recently that they'd recommend? I'm looking for a mid blue, quite fitted but not cropped or shrunken. There's one on Boden that I like the look of, but it's a bit pricey - looking to spend about £60. Any tips gratefully received!

Joules have a nice one.
I'd look at Gap, M&S and the high street brands.

Mine is a Levi's one and I've had it decades. I'd try ebay for one of those.

If you like the denim chore jacket try Toast or Seasalt.

Mines a few years I’m old but I love it and fits your description- it was from White Stuff

I bought the M&S Per Una Single breasted denim jacket .
I sisn't want a short bomber style , I wanted my bum covered
It is very soft but not floppy , it's still a proper denim.
No frilly bits, embroidery or sequins thankfully

I have a lovely one from Fat Face - I practically live in it during the warmer months and it looks fab, just a lovely shape.

Maybe not your thing but I just got a second hand Levi’s off eBay. It’s awesome. Slightly oversized and looks fab. Cost me a tenner!

The Levi's ones last better than the more fashion ones.
The men's are better for pockets.

Fashion denim jackets are often to be found in charity shops, for as little as 99p as pp.
I have a Levi's one that I got years ago for £4 in Age Concerned, and I donated my rather worn identical one to a delighted relative.

Another vote for Gap, great, comfy denim jackets. A little big in sizing though

I find the second hand ones are nicely softened Obviously I gave it a hot wash

I have one from Fat Face from a couple of years ago, it’s soft and a lovely shape, by far the nicest one I’ve ever had.

I got one from Fatface last summer, think it was about £60. Very comfy and IMO a great shade of blue. Just waiting for the weather to be a bit warmer so I can start wearing it again 😊

Thank you for all the responses (and sorry I went missing, didn't get any notifications for some reason!), lots to look at there. It looks like Fat Face comes highly recommended! I have quite a lot of my clothes from FF as they tend to fit me pretty well. I've never managed to get to grips with Gap sizing. I'll have a good trawl of eBay too. Thanks again

Just thought I'd update in case it's useful to anyone else. I ordered the Joules one mentioned in the first response, and it's exactly what I was looking for, really nice quality denim, quite fitted but plenty of room (as far as I can tell - I'm six months pregnant ). Looking forward to getting lots of wear out of it over the next few months!

This is a shallow park question I know because we should wear what we feel comfortable in but...what style denim jackets are more in fashion this season? I have small and cropped and large vintage (80/90s) Levi and am wondering which is likely to make me look the coolest 😂
