Style and beauty

I need a new fleece

I understand this is neither style or beauty. I need a new fleece, something to keep me warm inside and out of the house, I'm a 40 year old grunge dresser that maybe needs to dress a bit more appropriate. My favourite fleece is 5 years old and from Honda so really thick and warm but not stylish. I love it but it looks really tatty now. Any ideas? The ones I see are thin or blugh.

I possibly mean hoodie instead of fleece, something warm and cool.

I'm the same as you. I get them on ebay or charity shops as they are £££ in 'outdoor' shops.

What brands do you go for. I've always wanted a gap one but now I can afford it I find their quality has really decreased and the female ones are in pastel colours. I'm not a fan of super dry.

I like Patagonia but they are expensive.

Lucy and yak have some nice ones - or did anyway; I haven’t looked on their website for a while.

Alternatively try an outdoor brand like Go Outdoors or Mountain Warehouse perhaps?

Thinking about it my Honda fleece is male, why can't women have warm, practical fleeces in strong colours and proper pockets without having to shop in the male department!

I have a regatta one that is mega warm and all their stuff seems to wash and wear well
Weird fish usually have good ones and they've a sale on too plus 20% off first order

Do you mean one made from cotton that's like a sweatshirt or one that's polartec? I wear the polartec ones usually Berghaus or a similar quality.

Hoodies - Charity shop finds but I'd try M&S or Next.
I had a Fat Face one that was very warm and cosy but I wore it out eventually.

I'm not the most stylish person, but Uniqlo is good for choice of colours and they do plain. Gap is ok but I find the logo ones a bit much. I have a ralph lauren one (CS find).

Thanks everyone, I've done some online shopping and found one on the regatta outlet store that looks warm and that I would wear so I'm going to order it! With all the walks this year I need something to wear that doesn't make me look like a bag lady!

Regatta is decent quality. I might have a look if they have something I'd like.

Thanks for the suggestions, when I told dh I ordered something from regatta he did say do we need to start hanging around the Thames at Henley. Its not my normal scruffy style but maybe its time to smarten up a bit!
