Comfortable trousers which don't look like I have given up

I have just turned 60 and a short size 14. I have worn jeans all my life but am looking for an alternative for the summer. I hate elasticated waistbands and am not prepared to go into crimplene or equivalent just yet. Any ideas for comfortable trousers which can be dressed up or down, or are you an older jeans person who can recommend me a brand/style?

I second the Robell recommendation above. The waist is elastic but in a fitted way so that they sit snugly in the stomach and hip area, ie, no extra fabric to cause any lumps or bumps. They come in loads of colour too.

I’m going to try a pair of Robell I think. I desperately need comfy trousers for work. I have a perfect pair from uniqlo, but can’t seem to find the the same ones again.

Uniqlo pull on ankle trousers are great

@SummaLuvin

I like Sezane Clara trousers, and I find them comfortable, can be smart or casual.
They are lovely, but they are quite high waisted and if you are short in the body (OP says she is short) that may not be helpful - plus they are all dry clean only. I sadly sent the ones I bought back even though I loved them.

I live the Hush girlfriend chinos

And Baukjen Neath pant

Those are the trousers I wear, if I want to be comfy but still look nice
