Any advice for lupus rash?

I didn't know whether to post here or in autoimmune diseases, so feel free to move it MN!
I'm currently having the worst lupus flare up I've had to date, and have a horrible scaly rash over both cheeks, bridge of my nose and forehead. I don't have a rheumatologist appointment until May and am desperate to get rid of it, it's making me really insecure about how I look. Does anyone have any suggestions or help they could offer please?

I think you’d be better off in the Health/autoimmune disease section. You’ll get some advice there I suspect.
Meanwhile, I think you need to call your Rheumatology dept advice line (most have them) and ask for help, as your May appt is a way off yet. Maybe you need medical intervention if you are flaring; possible an anti inflammatory cream.
Also, is this sunlight related? Was such a nice weekend, could it have been caused by sunlight exposure?
Hope you feel better soon.

Yes to flaring and yes to it probably being sun related, despite the factor 50, cap and sunglasses Sad
