Commando or Spanx faux leather leggings?

I really want to get some faux leather leggings and have narrowed it down to either Commando or Spanx but was wondering if anyone had a pair of either brand and their thoughts?

I've got the Spanx ones.

They are not faux leather looking AT ALL.

They're just shiny leggings.

Not worth the money.

Omg me too !! Thought, "surely there's a happy medium to be had".

I wasn't enamoured with the Spanx ones tbh. Didn't think they lived up to the hype or price tag. But other people swear by them.

I actually thought it was going to be under a dress and thought op was asking leggings or commando? 🤦‍♀️🤣

I’ve got the spanx moto leggings. I’ve only worn them a few times but stay put/ no sagging for the day. I bought them to wear for nights out with heeled boots but obviously haven’t got a chance to wear them out yet, they’re currently my dressier alternative to sweaty betty leggings with trainers and hoodies.
ASOS quite often do 20% off and I got them for just over seventy quid with this.

They definitely aren't as leathery looking as I'd hoped but are comfy. I got them as a present.

The only thing I would mention is if you are on the cusp of a size, size down. Mine aren't doing the holdy in thing well because I could have gone either way. My mum was convinced (she bought them) the smaller size would be too small, and I wish I'd pushed for them.

Commando are amazing! Look like leather, hold you in, super comfy and so versatile.
Live in mine. But size down! I’m a Curvy 12 and have the small. They’ll arrive and you’ll be like “I cant get one leg in those” but they stretch and mold to fit x

I think I'll go with the Commando then given the comments about the Spanx ones!

@EchoJuliet can you remember where you purchased yours? I've found them on Selfridges but the postage is quite high. Wondering whether to trust the Amazon ones are genuine as I have Prime so delivery would be free... Also hoping I can manage to dress them up and down without ending up looking ridiculous! Only time will tell!

I have both - Commando are my favourites, thicker, more like leather, as PP said.
