Blundstone boots sizing help!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has experience of Blundstone boots, specifically the style attached, and how they come up sizing-wise?

I'm sure I read somewhere they come up big so to get 5.5 for size 6 but can't seem to find it!

Ooooh I had a pair bought in Australia round 30 years ago. Think I sized down but can’t recall by how much. They died after around 15 years but your post has made me really, really want to replace them. Hmmmmm.

I wear Blundstone classic boots.
Blundstone.co.uk has sizing advice. Half sizes are wider not longer and generally you have to size down .
Ardmore.co.uk has also got a very useful size guide and advice for Blundstone boots

I bought lace up Blundstone boots at the end of 2020 - I found really mixed advice online. I have one foot size 6.5 and one size 7, I ended up ordering the 6.5s which was the right choice and I'm glad I didn't go down to size 6 as there's not much wiggle room. I'm not sure if the Chelsea boot style is the same sizewise but I'd probably go for your usual size or if you're between sizes, size up just to be on the safe side.

D'oh I mean size down!!

glowingtwig · 03/03/2021 21:15

Thanks everyone!

@Lululu22 I live in Chelsea boots but they've had it after a year so hoping these will last longer and will look nice with floral dresses on country walks. I follow a lady on Instagram who wears them with said dresses and looks great. Plus they look comfy.

So not to be a bit thick but I was a definite size 5 in boots until pregnancy made my feet a bit bigger. So that would mean I could go for a straight size 5 in these?

@Celticdawn5 thank you for the tip re sizing advice. I am actually looking at them on eBay so missed this as a possibility.

Have been eying up Blundstones for ever!

Celticdawn5 · 03/03/2021 21:42

You are welcome,
They are great. I wear them all the time.
I also have a Blundstone ‘dress boot’ which is more like a Chelsea boot but for some reason I don’t find them quite so comfortable for some reason.

VetOnCall · 04/03/2021 01:35

I'm a 6.5 in pretty much all shoes but my Blundstones are a 6 and fit perfectly. I love them, they're comfortable and go with pretty much everything. I have these ones:

I am a 5 normally with slightly wide feet. I have literally just bought a pair and wore them for the first time yesterday. I got a size 4 and they are snug but hoping they will be perfect once they soften a bit. Heels were a tad sore after wearing them all day. Possibly i should have gone for a 4.5 to give a bit more space. Id try a 4.5 if I were you

Hi- I bought these exact olive green suede Chelsea boot Blundstones just after Christmas :) I'm a US 9 with pretty average sized/width feet and I bought my usual US 9 which are perfect and soooo comfortable right from the get go (once you manage to get them on-see below).
The elastic of the Chelsea boot ankle sections were incredibly tight on mine! I'm no waif but not particularly massive of ankle either :) Honestly, I just couldn't get them on for ages and actually ripped my thumbnails off trying! I had to force two big cans of tomatoes into the ankle holes for a few days to try to stretch them out!
Once on they are gorgeous and I'm expecting them to be perfect as time goes on. I still have to get someone to pull them off though :) DH has come in handy for this-if I lived alone I think I'd have been wearing them for 2 months day and night Grin
Get them! Make sure you have cans of toms handy unless you have skinny ankles Smile

faustina · 04/03/2021 17:55

I was also told the half sizes are actually just wider, not longer. I tried a 6 and a 5.5 and I found the 5.5 perfect. I didn't find the elastic particularly tight and was able to walk miles in them from the start - no breaking in necessary!

Sleepthief · 04/03/2021 18:24

I'm a 5 and I wear size 5 Blundstones.

Rainyday26 · 04/03/2021 18:54

www.blundstone.com.au/size-guides Have you tried this ?

glowingtwig · 04/03/2021 21:43

These are such helpful responses, thank you very much everyone.

@Rainyday26 I'll get the tape measure out 😁

@AssilemNNTownNY ... and the cans of toms 🤣

I too am a 5 and wear Blundstone 5s. They do have the space to allow me to wear thicker socks though.

AssilemNNTownNY · 04/03/2021 22:30

Hmmmm....now I'm getting ankle paranoia eyes ankles suspiciously....
