I’m in the market for a ‘special’ bag. I want to reward myself for 6 months sober, and I’ve chosen to buy a bag because I want something I’ll use a lot.
Also, I need to replace my bag, because my favourite Osprey one was with me in the hospital when my mum died, and I just can’t bring myself to use it any more.
So, my budget is up to a thousand pounds, but I’d be happy to spend far less - it’s the bag that counts, not the label.
I prefer hobo style, cross-body type things - totes annoy me and shoulder bags slip off.
I don’t like too much fancy metal.
I don’t want to have to fiddle with buckles.
I like roomy.
My style is a bit casual/boho/bit scruffy so nothing too ‘grown-up’ looking.
Colour wise, as we’re going into spring I think I’d avoid black. Tan would be good, as it goes with everything, but I’m open to ideas.
I’ve looked at the Mulberry Millie, and I like it, but I’ve had a Mulberry before and it didn’t age well. I’m a bit hard on bags, I think.
I like stuff that isn’t too ‘obvious’ and will go with trainers, boots and birkies.
Do any of you style and beauty mavens have any ideas?
TIA
